Now long before the antivaxxxxxers rename the Pfizer one to “conformity” |
To think, we paid out tax dollars to a board of people making 6 digits+ To have multiple meetings about a non-issue, only to come up with this. Jesus fucking Christ |
You know it's the vaccine makers that applied for a name change. Health Canada didn't just come up with a new name for them |
Oh, no. I interpreted health Canada approving the names as them coming up with it. It’s so stupid I just assumed it was the government LOL |
Went for Indian food, didn't ask for QR code :rukidding: |

Alberta asking BC for help with their covid patients. Weren't these fools yolo-ing not long ago. |
doesn't matter. BC government told them to screw off. |
"Hey we acted inappropriately, ignored science, fired all our nurses and doctors or pushed them out with paycuts, lack of appreciation and general toxicity. Can you sort this out for us?" |

In Alberta hospitals, just check patient record. If she/he has no vaccination ... you get a bed in a ward with 3 others fellow idiots, some water, and oxygen ... good luck on fighting this. Sorry if you don't make it, we have priests and chaplains ready to say last rites. Save the ICU for real intensive care cases. |

^Seriously, fuck your avatar. |
also, fat tug is a respectable IPA. Should swap it with Bud light. |
You cant get blackout on bud light. You can get blackout off like 3 fat tugs if you haven't eaten. It's a sneaky fucker. |
Not to derail the thread, but what is the deal with that anyway? I don’t drink hardly at all, most beers have similar alcohol content like 5-7% range right but corporate beers (for lack of a better descriptor) like Bud or Heineken or even Asahi etc I could probably down like 6 and be like pretty convinced that I’m fully functional… but some of the fuckin craft beers I drink 1 on an empty stomach and go to stand up and it’s like wtf I couldn’t even drive right now. Are they straight up lying about the alcohol content or what??? |
I had that last night with a couple wildeye IPAs. They were 5.5% apparently but it felt like I had 5 beers when I went to bed. After hockey on Sunday I had 5 kokanees and I would have been fine to fly a plane. |
Are you comparing apples to apples in serving size? Three 16oz (473ml) tall boy cans of 5.5% IPA is almost the same amount of alcohol as five 12oz (355ml) regular cans of 5% kokanee. Plus the craft brew IPA is likely going to have more impurities, IE tannins, acetaldehydes etc that your body also has to rid itself of in addition to the alcohol |
Yes and no. I know 473 is more than 355, but 2x473 at 5.5 isn’t 5x355 at 5. Or even really close, and especially not to have what felt like 2x the alcohol effect. I didn’t know about the other parts of it having an effect on alcohol processing by the liver though. One thing I notice about the basic beers though is the sweetness (besides tasting terrible) comes with some nasty headaches |

Nothing to be proud of but on a good drinking night I could probably pound back 20-30 ounces of booze and manage myself, but 4-5 fat tugs and I’m crossing my fingers to make it home lol when they started selling the 6 packs I laughed in their IG page I’m like you guys are dancing with the devil with those lol |
IPA’s are bad and you should feel bad |
Waiting for the annual Sartori IPA from Driftwood. But yes to all the comments about Fat Tug lol. Was my go to for awhile if I wanted a good PNW IPA. |

One of my clients is a brewery in the North Shore, and I was having a chat with the owner and asked the same question. Apparently with craft beer the overall alcohol content is more of an "estimate", and each batch can really differ by a percentage point or so. So when you're drinking a 5% craft beer, you might be drinking something that's actually 6 or 7%. The large corporate breweries have a more standardized process, so they have it distilled down to a science. Smaller craft breweries, not so much, more of a guesstimate. |
