Had an "acquittance" who spoke for the last year about COVID being a hoax, don't get the vaccine, just take your vitamins and stay healthy, has now contracted COVID19 and is wrecked.
He's spending the last few days crying for sympathy on his social media, saying how wrong he was, and to get vaccinated.
Fuck I laugh at these people, karma is a bitch.
Maybe I'm evil, but I love to see these people who spent so much energy online trying to tell people their contrarian opinion on the vaccines and COVID, contracting the virus.

At least he admitted he was wrong. So many covid deniers get it, cry for sympathy, but never apologize or admit they were wrong.

Honestly, I have more sympathy for the people who didn't get vaccinated, based on whatever arbitrary reason they have, but kept their feelings on the subject to themselves.
It's the people who post propaganda and falsehoods online to feed into this washing machine of bullshit who I direct my vociferous ire towards
One of my clients is a brewery in the North Shore, and I was having a chat with the owner and asked the same question.
Apparently with craft beer the overall alcohol content is more of an "estimate", and each batch can really differ by a percentage point or so. So when you're drinking a 5% craft beer, you might be drinking something that's actually 6 or 7%.
The large corporate breweries have a more standardized process, so they have it distilled down to a science. Smaller craft breweries, not so much, more of a guesstimate.
and when you start drinking different beers of different percentages in the same sitting that will really screw with your liver processing efficency. Even a few percentages up or down will get you way more hammered than a bunch of Kokanees.
I've been there, more times than I care to admit haha.
Again ... don't waste ICU beds and dollars on those who could have gotten 2 shots but didn't because of non-medical reasons, especially anti-vaxxers. Put them in a room with 3 others, give them fluids, some oxygen, and a priest if they need.

I’m not even trying to be a dick here and I know the delta variant etc. But now the news is coming on and saying the peace river and salmon arm are struggling with cases due to their “incredibly low vaccination rates….of 75%!”
We were all at 75% or less when there were 30 cases province wide etc. And I get that restrictions were different, different health authorities have different hospital capacities etc. But really, the situation is DIRE in a town where 3000 people of the 15,000 aren’t vaccinated? I guess so because they all hang out together?
Like.. we’re fucked if that’s the case, this shit is never gonna end until you’re forcibly sticking needles in peoples arms. If you are relying on these vaccines to maintain efficacy without booster shots you are walking on a razors edge

One of my buddys, his good friend’s family travelled to Edmonton recently, all double vaccinated… the entire family contracted Covid and the eldest aunt died in 1.5 weeks… rest of them are super sick.
Genetic similarities with same family maybe? And I’m not sure of underlying health conditions so my scenario is somewhat anecdotal… but it’s a lesson that being double vaccinated is only a best safety measure… people not being vaccinated and the virus being allowed to “cycle through” any portion of the population is still very dangerous.
