Booked my booster shot for mid month which makes it just over 7 months since the 2nd. Local pharmacies offering shots don't seem to have much availability.

Everybody had to line up outside Superstore / Safeway etc., and they only let in a certain number of people into the supermarket. It was actually quite an acceptable arrangement, since there aren't very many people in the supermarket at any given time, so the shopping experience was very efficient.
During my grocery shopping trips this week, the hordes of people in the supermarket really made me wish that measure could have been brought back. I wouldn't even mind waiting out in the cold (and snow).

Sounds like Ontario is moving to a stage 2 lockdown again… limited gatherings, closed indoor dining, online classes, 50% retail capacity, etc…

What would that even achieve? Did Ford and his education minister seriously expect the Omicron situation would ease in just 2 days?
Personally, I am expecting our (BC) school starting plans to change as well. I just don't know whether we're gonna delay K-12 classes for another week or two, or whether we're gonna go back into some form of online learning. But regardless, it's a bad situation either way. |

I did the N.Van one yesterday. Spent maybe 20 minutes in line and a lady was handing out take home tests. So I did that. Was an hour at the time, and I assume the wait was probably correct.

Drove by BCIT and found out it was appointment only. Drove to North Van and had to wait in line for about an hour. Got in and they said based on symptoms and exposure date to take a rapid test home and self-monitor if symptoms continue after 24 hours.

This is insane. Richmond Costco so busy today they had to shut the front doors twice and stop people coming in because the cashier lineup was snaking all the way to the back of the store in/around the deli and meat department.
But I can’t have a nice Christmas dinner with family or go to the gym lol

My family and I were going to get ourselves tested after a family member was tested positive, but the place on Cambie and 33rd was closed. Drove to UBC and to see the line, we drove home... Decided to quarantine and rest instead of knowing our results.
