Looking to buy some rapid tests online just to have on-hand, any recommendations on brand/where to buy? Quick google search shows a lot of places are soldout or on back order.

Have fun with that. | Yeah, but 7.5 million vs 330 million... although I guess in another way HK is far worse because of the density....lol.

This gives ammo to the unvaxxed going "SeE VaCcInEs DoNt WoRk!!!111"
But of those 1143 unvaxxed, 111 were hospitalized (9.7%) and 19 out of the 1269 vaxxed were hospitalized (1.5%)
Or, of those 1143 unvaxxed, 47 were in ICU (4.2%) and 4 of the 1269 vaxxed were in ICU (0.3%)
But I guess you won't believe any of it if you're convinced hospitals are ghost-towns.
The hardcore anti-vax narrative is stupid at best and dangerous at its worst...but there's no getting to them, they've literally made up their minds based on the worst kind of hopes and dreams, fueled by delusion.

“This is your fault this pandemic is still going on” white woman says to Asian lady.
Actually it’s the fault of predominately white nations hoarding and wasting millions of vaccines lady, lol.

The only way to know is get a PCR. Being sick isn’t an automatic covid so the test could very well be correct.

If you get -'ve rapid tests, it is not reliable. From https://news.uchicago.edu/story/when...urate-are-they
Q: How are rapid antigen tests different from PCR tests? Is one better than another?
Rapid antigen tests, which you can buy in most pharmacies, are great in specific circumstances and less good in others. Rapid antigen tests detect COVID-19 when people have a higher amount of virus particles in their system and are more contagious. But a negative antigen test doesn’t necessarily mean you aren’t contagious. If someone has COVID-19, but hasn’t yet reached the test’s threshold of viral particles, they may still test negative with an antigen test but positive on a PCR test. That’s why I tell people they should trust a positive antigen test, but be more skeptical about a negative one.
PCR tests, which are still mostly done at hospitals and other testing facilities rather than at home, are far more sensitive than antigen tests. They’re able to detect smaller quantities of the virus and detect them sooner (and for more time) than antigen tests.
While they’re considered the gold standard for a COVID-19 diagnosis, PCR tests are unnecessary for those who have already tested positive on an antigen test. That’s important to know as wait times for PCR tests grow due to increased demand.
In short: any positive test counts as a positive, but a negative antigen test needs to be confirmed with a PCR test. |

^ I thought the protocol was that if you don't hear from them, that means it's a negative. They only notify those who are positive.
