I’m more worried about those unvaccinated old people preventing people who didn’t make the choice to forgo their chances of survival for other diseases that don’t have a simple way of protection from severe outcomes.

Hondaracer 01-20-2022 12:46 PM

Well yea.. the 80 year old anti vaxxer delays cancer treatment of someone for a month? Let them die.

The guy from global interviewed other people in the ICU and he said only 1 person who didn’t want to be on camera regretted it. Everyone else unvaccinated in the ICU didn’t regret anything

Yeah, it's the same thing in the US when the delta wave hit.
End of the day, they say they rather die fighting for what they believe in.

Wait didn't we hear this before?

Hondaracer 01-20-2022 01:06 PM

I had never seen a news story inside an ICU during the entire pandemic until today

It might just be because I spend most of day staring at my phone but all the stories and articles coming out within the last week or so, I feel like we’re kind of at a tipping point here with people having had enough.

There’s stories going around now about how Bonnie came out and said gyms would remain closed before the “official” announcement and then by gauging the publics response they went to “Plan B” and allowed them to open. Might be a stretch but if it’s even half true, pretty fucked.

I wouldn't be surprised based on how BoHo has flip flopped during the whole pandemic.
She's a puppet

She said masks don't work and then puts in a mask mandate.
And is seen at sporting events with no mask on.

I've seen a few, the news was inside an Italy ICU during the first wave. Everyone was on ventilators.
A few news stories inside ICU's interviewing Americans with covid during Delta. Most didn't regret not getting vaccinated because of them fighting for their rights and freedoms.

They aren't wrong in terms of the vaccine mandate but could have prevented a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering.

But to win a war, you have to sacrifice a pawn or 2.

Went to get booster today, they asked which one i wanted. They recommended Moderna, but I went with Pfizer.

Those that got boosters, did you stick with the same brand as your first two? They recommended to me to get the other mRNA then my first two. I listened but also fuck them if they don't consider that fully vaxxed down the road if you need to have boosters in your vax passport too.

Razor Ramon HG 01-21-2022 01:44 AM

I got Pfizer for the first two, then Moderna for my third on Monday.

Sore arm within seconds. Went to bed that night and for the next 36 hours, I had a massive headache, full body fatigue and a mixture of chills and sweats. Had to take two days off of work and stayed in bed for practically that entire duration.

I felt pretty good last night so I ended up going back to work today.

320icar 01-21-2022 08:26 AM

Day 7 for me today and I feel just as shitty as day 2. I actually coughed a bunch last night. And now my wife is feeling pretty sick, and my 20 month old was coughing every hour last night, and was very fussy all yesterday =_=

whitev70r 01-21-2022 08:43 AM

Oh my ... the 20 month old is the crucial one, no vaccine. You two hopefully will be fine in a while but how do you isolate from the little one ... or is it even possible to isolate if you have a child under 5 in the house?

westopher 01-21-2022 08:43 AM

Fuck that’s a long go man. Sorry to hear, especially about the young guy. You guys all sorted for supplies?

CRS 01-21-2022 08:59 AM

I'll do a porch or whatever drop off if you need supplies.

Being a new dad I know how it feels.

westopher 01-21-2022 09:05 AM

My 8 week old had it as well (or I assume so)
Definitely no way to isolate unless you can pass them off to someone outside the household that can feed, change diapers, and all that.
It’s really just manifested as a very stuffy nose. We checked lots for fever but it didn’t seem to happen. I still have some congestion after 13 days now, and it’s finally subsiding.

320icar 01-21-2022 09:31 AM

Thanks guys! My mum has done a few drops already for us so it’s all going smoothly. We’re all just really going stir crazy though. Thankfully I haven’t had an appetite all week so the food supply is lasting without issue.

My cats and dog are having a blast having us home though. I figured I’d be feeling fine and had sometime to work on the Subaru, but I haven’t turned a single wrench. Man what a wasted week of no work

68style 01-21-2022 10:31 AM

Just get COVID Hondaracer said

The 20 month thing hits home, and honestly that's what scariest - and also why we called off every Christmas gathering, etc.

Statistics don't mean shit when your own child is suffering in front of you with absolutely nothing you can do but hope for the best.

But yeah, feel free to post here if you (or westopher, or anyone else) needs anything with no alternatives, and I'm sure lots of people will help out.

Hondaracer 01-21-2022 11:15 AM

Yea, even with my new PS5 being stuck at home is pretty wack.

Also that week off wasn’t my idea if I recall lol at least your guys cases didn’t fall on your booked off holidays

Manic! 01-21-2022 11:23 AM

So is UK the new hotness now. What happened to copying Sweden, Florida, or Texas?

I had to physically toss out 2 customers for not wearing a mask. One night was an old lady. The next day was her son. He thought he was tough but how tough can you be when you are so weak you can't wear a mask.

68style 01-21-2022 11:34 AM

I’m coming to Nanaimo on Monday Manic!… want to come by your station without a mask to use your crypto machine :D

Probably not, I'm Richmond levels of soft

lilaznviper 01-21-2022 02:22 PM

parents just got their 3rd shot. in and out pretty fast at shoppers. probably 30 minutes there vs the wait at ICC for the 1st and 2nd shot which took over an hour

BlackV62K2 01-21-2022 02:53 PM

Booster shot is kicking my ass with the side effects. Nothing but a sore arm from the first two.

68style 01-21-2022 03:17 PM

I’m okay now after 1 day laid out from my booster, all tip top again ready for my 4th shot lol
