Couple of friends got their butts kicked for 2-3 days after their booster even though they were okay for the first two. Guess it's pretty normal.

Are majority of the covid testing sites in the lower mainland only giving out rapid tests now? No more PCR test?

Hondaracer 01-21-2022 03:56 PM

Just make up some bs about being a care giver to an elderly parent or sonthing and your doctor said to get a PCR

After today's announcements it sounds like you can't even get a test unless you're over 70, unvaccinated, or work with vulnerable populations.

Yea..no tests, no cases, Bonnie says contact tracing no good anymore because no cases because no tests

StylinRed 01-21-2022 05:48 PM

BC gave up, it was a half assed effort from the start so it's no surprise they're overwhelmed and are saying fuck it

Hondaracer 01-21-2022 05:54 PM

I think contact tracing was pretty futile from the start. Relying on people being truthful and their memory? Heh

Most stories I hear of vaccine whooping people are Moderna boosters ... I hardly hear Pfizer kicking someone's ass.

bigzz786786 01-21-2022 06:38 PM

My gf and I both had a moderna booster, she's moderna X2 and I'm Pfizer X2, both of us had a slightly sore arm the next day with feeling a tiny bit tired, I went snowboarding the day after my booster.

My psecond Pfizer dose Is what kicked my ass, was feverish for 3 days

iirc moderna has more incidences of side effects than pfizer but is also more effective with variants

Sore arm within seconds. Went to bed that night and for the next 36 hours, I had a massive headache, full body fatigue and a mixture of chills and sweats. Had to take two days off of work and stayed in bed for practically that entire duration.

I felt pretty good last night so I ended up going back to work today.

Same experience. I took Tylenol and got better within 3-4 hours.

Vaccine that makes your body react with an immune response, means its working as its intended.

Gimme that Moderna, got my text this morning for the booster and scheduled it for 2 weeks later. That'll give it about 3-4 weeks between getting covid and the booster. Read someone that recommended a month after contracting it to getting the booster for maximum effectiveness? But I have my doubts if that is just a best guess based on general vaccine effectiveness because I don't think they'd specifically conduct studies on something like this...

So boris Johnson is under fire because he threw a party back in 2020 when his country was under strict lockdown.

Now come Thursday? He's removing all or most covid restrictions in the U.K. what are your thoughts?

Can't edit till canada follows suit!

You know we're in a rough spot when people are clamoring for our leaders to be more like Boris Johnson.

No one seemed to want to acknowledge Trump was right either? Ehhhh

What a crazy concept to actually put trust in the public?

westopher 01-21-2022 09:01 PM

Lol what was trump right about? The US hasn’t had a win in about 5.5 years now.
On the BOJO note though, it’s gonna be a shit time to be a doctor or nurse, even more so. They are gonna have to really reorganize the triage plans all over if they want to make this work.

SkinnyPupp 01-21-2022 09:30 PM

LOL yes let's bring back Trump that'll fix everyting

Trump was "right" in that he happened to be in office when the vaccines came out. He supports them because he can claim he introduced them. If not for that, he would be leading the charge against vaccination.

Trump was right... come on

StylinRed 01-21-2022 10:59 PM

He was right about the meds he was referring to n supporting to some degree

But the media and anti trumpers just best him down at every point even if any made sense it wouldn't matter, if you can't recognize that it's more concerning tbh

320icar 01-21-2022 11:00 PM

So, do I bother getting the booster? If I’m fully vaxxed plus got sick before i had a chance to book

He wasn't right about hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin.

Nobody argued against using Remdesivir because it was one of the first effective medications used, and was eventually proven in vivo unlike the other two which were disproven. Despite being disproven, he and other weirdos continued to push it to the point where their followers started buying veterinary meds and taking high doses of it.

So he was "right" but nobody of any significance was claiming he was "wrong"

There’s quite a few articles about it. Personally I’d probably wait until they come out with boosters that have been revised for the variants etc.

hud 91gt 01-22-2022 06:11 AM

Boris Johnson opening things up when a less severe strain is on the loose.

Trump wants to open up when basically unknown virus is spreading.

I don’t think these things can be considered equal. I hope we follow The UKs lead.

On a second note, isn’t Mexico sending out Invermectin to its citizens? Or is my anti Vax Aunt just spreading Facebook BS?

whitev70r 01-22-2022 07:25 AM

Now there is no isolation if you have symptoms but not been tested ...previously, it was, 'assume you have it and isolate for 5 days'.

I'm a good soldier and all but how can the government expect us to first of all, to keep track of all the revisions. Secondly, comply any more ??!! Really making those cuckoo protesters at the Art Gallery look good.

No minimum isolation time for those not tested for COVID-19 under new B.C. guidelines
