That being said, that is were I caught covid on new years. Also went to Puerto Vallarta, where everyone we spoke to got covid and had to extend their trip.

One thing I found funny, not sure you noticed this in Mexico -- everyone wears their masks around the bend of the elbow/forearm when walking around.
Nothing wrong with that, just found it funny as I've never seen people do that up here.

Really? I do that in the summer when I have fewer pockets. A lot of women do that too if they venture out without a purse

I love that Moderna is now running these cutesy radio ads for the booster, it sounds like it would be the ad for viagra or some boutique drug to ask your doctor about
Hehe sally is busy washing dishes for dinner so help her out and get your booster!
Uhg..

Uhg.. | Listening to sportsnet 650, they have been running a commercial for the BCCSA and it bothers me that they claim vaccinated people have a higher chance of catching covid.
I'd like to see how they got that info.

I mean... that's pretty much how I passed half my classes in university... pick a topic about a book, find a searchable version of the book, search only for words that would support said topic and gather quotes... wrap writing around quotes. Declare my own genius. Done.

The “temporary” vaccine passport which could not have been laid out as more “temporary” if they had tried when it was initially announced is now extended 6 months lol.. fantastic

this is a bad call. there's no more blood to be had from this stone. no form of mandate of this type is going to increase vaccine uptake at this point - and that is the only reason for it's existence.
just more pain and more lost income for the people that have to keep implementing this system.

Mark yesterday as the day Bonnie said the booster will NOT be added to the vaccine passport
The US, Canada, and the UK basically all follow the exact same trajectory of cases regardless of vaccination/booster uptake
lol and the infectious disease expert, Brian Conway on the news this morning - "50% of the world is completely unvaccinated, 90%+ of the African continent is unvaccinated"

^I agree with this.
It's frankly disgusting that we're talking about booster shots out here, meanwhile the majority of the third world hasn't even had their first dose.
It really is the new colonialism --rich countries sitting on surplus vaccines.
If we were so committed to fighting the possibility of new variants, as a world society we'd be putting more of an effort to rollout vaccines (and bypass patent clauses) to the third world.
We're not though, with companies like Moderna charging 2 times the cost of the vaccine in other countries: https://fortune.com/2021/12/27/moder...al-oxfam-iccr/
I'm not even going to bother to get a booster shot at this point.

-looks like Turd may have caught Covid again. https://nationalpost.com/pmn/news-pm...covid-exposure
OTTAWA — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he is isolating at home after learning that he was exposed to someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.
The prime minister says in a tweet that he learned about the exposure just last night.
He says the result of a rapid antigen test he took was negative, but he is following local public health rules and isolating for five days.
Trudeau says he will be working from home during that stretch.
Several of Trudeau’s cabinet ministers in recent weeks have had to isolate after positive tests, or because they were potentially exposed to the virus.
Trudeau is set to call foreign leaders today and address the Liberal caucus at a virtual retreat.
This report by The Canadian Press was first published Jan. 27, 2022.

I literally thought we didn’t have to isolate with close contacts unless we showed symptoms, if we were vaccinated? Maybe that’s only for low wage workers lol.
