Went to Parallel 49 on Thursday night with a buddy of mine.
They still have these big ass plexiglass windows partitioning the seats on the benches.
It's absurd and terrible to sit within -- it's like you're in a little box sitting beside people, like a damn bubble. Completely destroys the pub vibe, and the ability to have a random chat with people sitting beside you, it's all just very odd. Covid has turned us all crazy, seriously.
I get why people are sick of this shit, no wonder we're so divided.

When they relaxed the mandates they removed those dividers, when they came back they put them back up. Like they do a fucking thing to prevent airborne transmission in a place like that lol.

The person asking the other to mask up, or a passport, or seeing dividers everywhere, social distancing protocols, etc; some of the time the vendor/store/restaurant/bar employee enforcing it might think it's dumb too or not even care really but isn't quite ready to fight for that freedom and wants a pay check and would rather just keep it moving but joe freedom fighter picks THAT instance to make a point about tyranny. You can fight for freedom in other ways without hurting the average worker.

That I can agree with. Nobody wants to get off work and have an altercation though. I’m sure the people that have sure as fuck weren’t expecting such garbage behaviour from the last “protest” at VGH or Nanaimo general, etc.
