some trip... :heckno: |
So it finally happened, I caught my first case after traveling to Mexico. Took me 2.5 years to finally have to test myself and to see a positive result. Honestly wonder how I managed to avoid this long with the amount of hours I've spent at work lol. Anyways, has anyone else had to deal with dizziness/vertigo-like symptoms? it's been quite annoying and still affecting me now almost 2 weeks after initial symptoms kicked in. |
I did have some long term on and off balance issues after I got it. Honestly I think it lasted a few months. I noticed it especially when I was snowboarding. 25 years on a board and some days I felt like I hadn’t been on one in years, other days I was totally normal. |
I got super sick a month or so ago.. took one test and it was negative. Probably should’ve taken another to be sure but didn’t. I had the chills so bad that I had to put gloves on in bed.. so that was a first. Drove home from Whistler yesterday and turning right on the S2S had me feeling uneasy like it never had before. Left, no problem. Got tingly and was far less comfortable taking rights on the winding road that had me like wtf. Not sure if it’s related to (potential) covid but it is interesting that balance might be a side effect. To add a little context to the above, I was ATV’ing in Whistler years ago for a stag and that’s when I first noticed that I was way more confident/comfortable leaning into left turns at high speeds and was a little sketchy with the rights. I mentioned it and the groom to be said he felt the opposite way. I skate/snowboard goofy foot and sure enough, he rides regular. That was a bit of an aha moment for us at the time but that said, the two could be completely unrelated so now I’m even more curious.. Westo, since I know you ride and track cars, are you more or less comfortable leaning into/turning one way and if so, does it match our left vs right turn/goofy vs regular foot comparison as described above? Maybe we were just too hungover to come up with more sound reasoning :lol |
I skate goofy and snowboard regular, so it’s probably not related, but I do find if I’m having a dizzy spell I want to fall to my left naturally. I think it’s a spinal alignment/strength issue though. |

Punkwax I’m like that on a snowmobile. It’s the opposite of snowboarding for me though. I ride goofy and have all the confidence/ease of pulling a sled left and right feels akward/unbalanced |
You guys are messed…. But I’m left handed and do everything else right… lol. |
It really comes down to core strength. One side will be sturdier than the other, which promotes balance. |

Down there, no one is using a mask other than the staff. On the plane it's still mandatory but that didn't save me from a week without masks lol... |

Weird but I play hockey left and golf right so who am I to judge :lol |
That’s the same as me, shoot left swing right, throw right |
When I was riding like 60-70 days a year back in the day I could do 900s switch backside and frontside but could only do 720s regular lol. |
“Only do 720s” :okay: That is some impressive stuff. |
Those days are long gone.:okay: |

Kid just got his first shot. Getting his 2nd shot in a few weeks, I hope he can get the Omicron version by then. |

I got my 4th shot last month though so I don't think I'll be getting it until January at the earliest. |

Finally got COVID last week. Is it just me or does it seem like there's a spike in the last week or so? I overheard a guy at Princess Auto over the weekend mentioning he noticed a lot of ppl getting it. Anecdotally it also sounded like a higher % of ppl in my network got it recently too. |
That’s just how well the 4th shot is working, don’t worry about it |
