Well I was pretty much 90% recovered after 4 days, and my wife/inlaws just had a nagging cough as their worst symptoms, so I have the vaccines to thank for that  |

Yup, still very much a thing, and it's hitting people that have already had it, as well as those who have lucked out (or didn't know they had it in the past). I started wearing my mask again in places with lots of people, and was kinda surprised to see a decent number of people at Langley Costco today masked up. |

To your point it's no longer tracked or reported provincially, so just have to go by anecdotal data. |
Anyone here got it twice yet? |
Got the Bivalent vaccine a couple of days ago. No appointment needed. Just called up the local Shoppers to see it they had it. Medical Card was all I needed. I got the invite early last week, but did a little research on it before deciding to go. A little sore where they stabbed me. Okay, more than a little sore, but I'll survive. No other side effects, yet. |
shoppers guy told me he had no idea when the duo nano boost was coming out a couple of weeks ago so i just took the vanilla boost :FeelsBadMan: |

I could have received my second booster long ago, but waited until the vaccine that targeted Omicron got approved. https://globalnews.ca/news/9140062/b...cine-campaign/ |
I’m a teacher and my colleagues are dropping like flies this week…life at the (germ) factory! |
How is the flu situation over there? We haven't had a flu season in 3 years, and they're saying now that people should get vaccinated for that even if they haven't in the past, because most of the population will be very susceptible to it now. |

I got old school ‘rona in January which was not fun. Then in the summer I got one of the pussy new variants. Woke up with a slight tickle in the throat (which went away mid day), test was positive. Had to waste an entire week of vacation sitting at home feeling 99.999% fine. |
-just got my fourth jab yesterday afternoon. Bivalent Moderna for better protection against Omicron. The Croatian Cultural Centre in east Van was LIT yesterday. -fortunate to find a parking spot in their lot. Then I find out from a lady inside the centre about why the place was so busy. She directs people to the right line up for vaccinations. "Vaccine, -left side, Bingo - right side". It was Bingo Night at the Croatian Cultural Centre yesterday. LUL No wonder the parking lot was almost full yesterday. I was thinking that there is no way that there are that many people getting a booster shot on a Wednesday afternoon after 4pm haha. NOTE: The nurse who administered the BV Moderna vaccine for me said that some people experience myocardial pain, chest pain, as a bad side effect of getting BV Moderna. -best to get yourself checked out at a hospital if you feel chest pain should you take a booster shot of BV Moderna. |
I don't know if or how many times I've had it. I've never actually ever bothered testing myself. My kid tested positive on a rapid test once last year I think, wife and I never got any symptoms maybe we had it, just asymptomatically I dunno. And then last Easter my parents were visiting and my dad developed symptoms (he had a cough and phlegm like a cold), and confirmed positive with a rapid test. I think I had a bit of congestion for a day or two, so I figured I must have had it for sure then. It was pretty mild. |
FYI booster is available w flu shots now. booked last night got both flu and 4th shot together today. |
^ keep us posted on how you feel. I wanna do that too but i feel like it'll hit me twice as hard! |

all side effects can be eclipsed by the appropriate hangover covid side was more sore than flu side day on day 2. day 3 (today) can't feel either one. |
Anyone know if you can get the Pfizer bivalent vaccine yet? |
Yup, the chip is in my arm already. :lol Pharmacist asked me if I prefer Moderna or Pfizer ... I've been Pfizer all along so why put another chip in my body?! |
https://youtube.com/watch?v=tuRXMr97NHs Bumpity Edit: ehh whys it not embedding... Anyway shits starting to hit the fan in China now that they've lifted all the gates |
Yup instead of gradually changing the rules to handle a slowly increasing hospital load, they just let all hell break loose after pointlessly trying to keep it to 0 cases all along They don't even test anymore, but Beijing alone is probably more than 50% infected.. 10 million people.. Most will be fine with this strain, but elderly are still very susceptible and hospitals will be completely fucked. Crematoriums are already overloaded so bodies will be piling up in huge numbers Of course they're lifting rules here too, and are talking about opening the border to China right when this is all happening FailFish |
thats cuz their policies are stupid as fuck to begin with. I mean technically they are just delaying the inevitable. with a billion chinamen on the planet we can use some culling. it'll be good for our planet and China as a whole. |
The cynical in me says they will reduce their retirement obligations significantly. |
