i have literally never seen anyone standing further than 1' from the urinal, usually as close as you can without risking touching the urinal is a normal thing, that way when you start up and when your stream dies down you're not pissing on the floor. 3'??? do you walk back and forth depending on the strength of your stream?

I prefer to use the toilets in the stall over urinals, that way I can drop my pants lower, fully air out my balls, and pee in complete privacy. I don't stand 3' away, but maybe 1'-2'. Then I do the Michael Jackson lean as the stream gets weaker.
