Good shop for header + hfc install?

I need to get my headers and high-flow cats installed. Does anyone have recommendations on shops that can weld and know how to work with aftermarket parts? I'm located in Richmond, preferably this shop offers courtesy cars and obviously, I won't be going to any shop in the city of Vancouver.

Also, does anyone know if I should get these parts painted/ceramic wrapped, etc?

According to the special instructions, it apparently has some welding required:

Quote:
IMPORTANT: Don´t try to lengthen the lambda probes wires, it is not necessary if you take them out of the holders, and place them behind the engine over the transmission!

-The flange is however not made of stainless steel-

Please cut the hanging for the middle section rubber mounting of the original system - and weld it on the high flow system - in order to install the original rubber mountings again.

To create more space between the plate and the bottom of the car - place 4 nuts between the plate and the bottom of the car. Original there is 2 plates under the car --- but after installing our system there will only be one.

Thanks!!

No but I already know CG/Nixon charges a high premium for their very high quality of work (which is fair). I don't really need a BMW specific shop. Well, I don't think I need a BMW specific shop.

If you’re looking for some old school exhaust work, can’t go wrong with hoeglers in Richmond. That place has been around since well before I was a glint in the old mans eye

Honestly, I'm just looking for someone who knows what they're doing. Which would probably include someone who would know if header wraps/paint/ceramic coating would even be worth while.

Also - it's funny that hoegler's is right next to the cop shop LOL

Ceramic coating is amazing stuff. Header wrap works well too. Did the header come with any heat shielding? If your not wrapping or coating I’d try and build some sort of heat shielding.

No, I don't think so. It came bare, stainless steel. I should probably at the very least paint it eh? Any coating or header wrap recommendations?

I don’t believe there is really any evidence that the off the shelf “ceramic paints” really do anything for heat, rather they are just resistant to heat. I sprayed that stuff on to my turbo header and cured it properly then used amazon header wrap. It’s been fine. I’m sure you spent a pretty penny on the headers, I’d get them coated locally if you can swing it. It would probably be $200 or so?

All I remember about my E36 engine bay is how much crap was in there. I installed my stainless 240z header and it created havoc for my carburetors until I wrapped them. Mind you my carbs were directly over the exhaust.
