For those that are concerned with Zoom, what's your alternative? Google Hangouts?

I looked into Teams but seems like you need to have the whole 365 thing.

SkinnyPupp 04-13-2020 04:54 PM

Using zoom's web based client seems to be safer than installing their desktop app.

Google has banned employees from using the app, but are allowing them to use the web client and mobile apps.

Taiwan has banned it for all govt services, and Singapore as well

At our office, we use https://8x8.vc. It's free, and secure. There's also https://meet.jit.si/ which uses 8x8 tech, and is also free. Both can run in Chrome without installing the app.

Who else hasn't shaved since this thing started? This is the longest I've gone without shaving... I figured I might as well find out what happens, considering whenever I go out my face is covered anyway LUL

Might as well keep going and see if I can grow an actual BEARD. Wish me luck boys (this would have been impossible before TRT lol)

Don't think much of the RS population needs to shave.

:troll:

Mancini 04-15-2020 05:37 AM

I went I shaved for a month until a spousal complaint shut that down.

I've been growing out my moustache like it's movember, just hit 30 days.

Hondaracer 04-15-2020 08:14 AM

Year and a half beard going strong

Akinari 04-15-2020 08:33 AM

I'm growing out my facial hair as well, but I hate wearing masks on top of a beard, just isn't comfortable and it makes the mask not fit properly.

Every time I need to go out for an extended period of time i.e. buying groceries, I need to shave it off :okay:

Asian genes, can barely grow much. So I just shave, rather not have a pube stache.

And thinning hair, so might shave it down. At least I'm somewhat stocky/built. FailFish

spoon.ek9 04-15-2020 08:43 AM

you're not the only one who couldn't grow a beard to save his life :alonehappy:

I knew I wasn't asian................ I just look the part.

I've never had issues with growing a moustache or beard. My pubes, chest, side burns, moustache, and beard are all silver, grey, and white, but the hair on my head is black as can be. If I shaved that stuff off, I'd look like a 30 year old. Okay, maybe 40 because of the winkles. Can't help that.

Neutrogena? LOL. Nowhere near vein enough to put anything on my skin.

mikemhg 04-15-2020 11:20 AM

My beard grows out in a literal week, it's annoying.

I've been shaving weekly though, ensuring I keep up my appearance.

I see friends and colleagues that are completely letting themselves go, wearing PJs all day, to me it's gross. Look at the beautiful weather we're having, why let yourself look like a scrub and sit inside in your dirty robe?

It's important to take care of yourself. COVID isn't an excuse to simply let yourself go. Staying on top of your grooming, wearing clean clothes, it's all important for your mental health, and well-being IMHO.

When you look good, you feel good.

hud 91gt 04-15-2020 11:42 AM

So I went on a good run today (im not a runner) and told a friend my time. He bet me $500 I couldn’t reach a certain goal within a month. Game on. Haha. I’m quite scared. As I said, never been a runner, but I’ve always been pretty decent at it the few times I go a year.

Looks like my month will be all about good food, and probably less tasty evening nightcaps. Biggest hurdle is going to be injury I think.

underscore 04-15-2020 11:52 AM

I already rarely shave, it fries my face and takes too much time. I only do it when I need to, or after about 2-2.5 months when it starts to get annoying and I start looking too homeless. I'll probably stay on top of it more now for mask sealing purposes.

There can only be one Master Roshi on RS...............:fuckyea:

Akinari 04-15-2020 11:37 PM

I'm one of the lucky Asians who can grow a full beard in around a month.

With that being said, it's never as dense as I want it to be, it just grows long rather than get dense, so it looks kinda weird if I don't take care of it properly.

Any recommendations for an office chair? My old chair is not cutting it anymore.

Get a used Steelcase or similar ergonomic chair on Craigslist. Office liquidators and the like - best value for a good chair that you'll be happy sitting in for hours on end.
