The DTES was a mess when I drove my wife to her office a couple days ago. People gonna get fucked up there if it starts hitting them

Drug use appeared even more casual than usual just see guys sitting on curbs sticking needles in their arms etc. Tough time for the down and out because a lot of resources will likely close if they continue the quarantine to more drastic levels

I saw some portable hand washing stations on the street there last week. Not sure if those were there before.

My PS4 Pro was posted on sale on Craigslist since Christmas, with not many people responding. Just this past week, I've had so many people respond, lol. It is sold now but I guess a lot more people are (or will be) stuck at home playing games.

And yet they want to go out to buy stuff off strangers on Craigslist :fulloffuck:

Can't even go for a hike bcuz ppl aren't respecting the 2m distance between ppl guidelines, so much so that popular trails are closed

I worked from home all last week. Set up a temporary office in one of the children's bedrooms. I loved it. My job requires me to call and message people a lot, so it didn't feel too isolating. Yet. When I'm working from home I double down on my focus so I don't get sidetracked and I get more done. I did notice as the week progressed that more people started using video chat for meetings.

Walked some trails this weekend. Lots of people out. Need to do something to keep kids from going crazy. No more playgrounds.

prefer traveling but staycations esp around winter/christmas time is what i look forward to most at end of the year and this time it's no different

i probably have dozens of steam/playstation games going back 10 years+ i never installed/opened
continue ed/professional workshops I can accumulate
a computer i gotta fix
organizers to sort
general work/projects around the house that i have been putting off
rice mods/maintenace on the vehicles

introverted af but still need my walks/jogs/hikes

anyone with the luxury of working from home shouldn't take it for granted, wish i had that option

I had a push mower listed for a few weeks and suddenly someone wants to pick it up yesterday. I left the mower outside my house for him. Once he arrives and leaves an envelope of money and I talk to him for 20 ft away he tells me he was in Columbia 8 days ago and is isolating. WTF

I picked up the envelope with gloves and put it away. I don't even know if it has the right amount inside.

Where you put it in terms of putting it away.
I tried to get a deal done through etransfer but the buyer wouldn't do it. So I counted the money while wearing gloves. Now the cash is on quarantine in gloves flipped inside out, outside my house.

Let's hope I don't forget they're in there and accidentally toss it as trash :alone:

^LOL. I had a deal lined up to deliver an item this week but kinda avoided in person meet ups during to Coronavirus this week. The guy texts me when I can deliver, I said can you etransfer me the money after and I'll just leave the item in your front door step. Dropped it off yesterday on their front door finally and owner etransfer me 20 minutes later. Told them for safety precaution don't want Coronavirus. Figured people won't be a jerk and not pay since you know where they live.

Many are cruising and avoid all contact. Did the health experts speak about the risks and any advisories?

subordinate 03-22-2020 01:22 PM

Damn. You guys can't wait this out to sell or buy? It's idiots like the dude the returned from Columbia that has stopped me from buying a couple of things. Half Life of covid on plastic and stainless is 72 hours

Unfortunately decided to cancel a Bowen Island cabin weekend for April after coming across this article https://vancouversun.com/news/covid-...-to-stay-away/

Where the parents at? With everything closed, keeping a toddler entertained for 10 hours a day has been painful

RiceIntegraRS 03-22-2020 02:50 PM

^lol its been abit of a challenge thats for sure. I really try my hardest not to use TV to calm my kid down but ive resorted to that a couple times during this quarantine. And since ive had alittle more free time theses days i went on a cleaning spree so im more willing to let my kid loose around the house. Im hoping it doesnt get old quick for him

Hasn't been too, too bad, with the nice weather. A lot of walks, bike rides and sidewalk chalk. Sucks that playgrounds are closed and no play dates.

Wipe it down with lysol wipe or just wash it with soap and water like you're washing your hands. Take advantage of plastic bills.

Finished workout station just in time for the wet weather, complete with worlds crappiest paint job. Just enough to keep the rust away.

Day whatever this is: I quit keto. No it wasn't too hard. I simply just can't find the food I need. I haven't seen eggs in like 2 weeks, most grocery stores are out of chicken and pork. Some have very little beef left. I can't even find bacon or sausages.

I figured at a time like this, even though keto reduces my appetite, I should eat rice. It's cheaper and filling LOL.

^ gotta stop going to super store.

Call up any butcher, and they would be super glad and happy to reserve for you. TnT is a dead city at night; just have to be sure its replenished.

Always good to start talking to friends who work at TNT & Costco, we get live updates on line ups and its great.

Worked 7 days straight, 72 hours, looking at working at least another 5 days, probably 10+ hours/day.

Feeling burnt the fuck out, but feel confident the prep work will help keep our patients, doctors, and nurses safe if/when shit hits the fan.

Still would love to work from home having an auto-immune disease and asthma.
