For everyone working at home, don't be like this lady: |
So far playing with the toddler isn't too different, we grabbed a bunch of new stuff to slowly introduce to keep her entertained though. Quote:

Been doing this remote / working from home for a while now so it's been pretty normal. It was a transition I knew I was going to make so I was able to really mentally prepare for it at the time and get into the groove but I find a lot of my coworkers are having a harder time transitioning since it was pretty sudden. I made a video that just talks about my experience being a remote worker (still trying to get better at making these YouTube videos lol): Spoiler! TLDW: 1. Find a space that you can corner off and call your "office" so you have at least some separation from home and work 2. Try your best to get an ergonomic setup if you find yourself sitting all day like I do, desk chair, mouse and keyboards. 3. Figure out a routine that works best for you and try to stick to it everyday. Do your best not to just roll out of bed and start working. I did that for a while and things just start to become a blur especially if I never leave my place. And try to take as much breaks as possible, I always finds this helps especially if I have my head down most of the day. 4. If you're working in a team over communicate via Slack, Hangouts, or whatever means of communication you use it's better to over communicate than under. We usually always have our cameras on for small meetings, I know a lot of people aren't too comfortable with this but it does really help keep things social. 5. Drink lots of water and don't forget to eat snacks and food to keep your energy levels normal. It's probably just me but I do forget to eat lunch some days lol. Also on a side note can our building enforce social distancing in the elevators? I've been taking the stairs but might have to take the elevators soon but I haven't seen any signs or anything letting people now that it should only be 1-2 people MAX in the elevator. It's pretty shitty as 2 of our elevators are broken and there is only 1 working one :\. |
Don't forget; plants! (Sorry if already mentioned in this thread) Not only do they improve air quality, they boost your immune system, humidity, increase productivity, and generally make you feel happier about being inside. https://www.ecowatch.com/health-bene...608386260.html |
We adopted a puppy from a rescue - so lots of breaks in between work and social distancing at the beach. https://scontent.fyhz1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...62&oe=5E9C993C https://scontent.fyhz1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...94&oe=5E9F907B |
poco costco on Saturday had a full stock of meats. Two guys must have spent 20 mins restocking the chicken so i'd assume they were out before that |

i'm still working but likely this is the last week for us, regardless of what the gov says. I'll still have to drop in but all the employees will be home, and will see limited customers. looking forward to staying home so i don't have to feel exposed any longer. i got a cat a month ago so i'm sure he'll love the extra company. |
he is 200%, a good boi. my sector is the Titanic right now... and I can't fathom why we are still open. |

Fortunately only had to pick up poop and mop pee for the first 6 days. Smooth sailing now... |
Rolled out of bed and started working from home today https://www.revscene.net/forums/cust...tar3023_19.gif |
Did my morning 7am call in from Bed. Alarm woke me up at 6:59, popped in the airpods and just closed my eyes and listened in. Our company employs over 200k employees across the world, all offices are officially closed as of Today, and all plant workers received pay raises since they keep the business going. |

My productivity getting stupid ridiculously worse as this stay at home to work moves forward. It's great to be able to work from home here and there, but once it's so many days in a row, becomes more tiring than actually going to work physically. Maybe it's just me. The work that normally would take me like 2/8 of the time to do, I'm spending days on LOL. I had a morning call with my boss to run over some work and he's the work keeping you busy, I'm like yeahhhhhh .... |
my dealer group is shut down from after today....... no work till April 8th. tentative....... what great times we live in. 2020 has been great :fuckthatshit: |
My wife is still going to work like normal at the dog shelter. She says they've been crazy busy lately, with a lot of adoptions. Seems everyone has time for dogs now, but I hope they consider when/if they ever go back to work, that the dog still needs a lot of attention. They have a new policy - if you don't wear a mask, you can't come inside. They'll still talk to you outside. We're planning on buying some goggles for my wife, so she doesn't get sprayed on talking to sick expats who refuse to wear masks outside the centre. |
Hopefully they're screening out anyone who is a first time pet owner, I can't see that going well for the inexperienced. |
They are very strict who they adopt to, and try to match people with the right dog every time SeemsGood |
best part of wfh is I am able to use my mechanical keyboard.. |
Started working from home today. Feels I am more productive. Maybe coz I don't have to travel anymore and actually more relax? I mean I can fart as long as I want. |
Working from home has increased my desire to troll on Revscene even more. |
So what's everyone eating nowadays? Are you cooking more or ordering takeout? I know that some restaurants are having promotions. Post up promotions so we can keep RS fed. I'll start, pizza hut is offering 2 for 1 promotion now M cafe has 20% off their menu |
