I know that some restaurants are having promotions. Post up promotions so we can keep RS fed.

I'll start,
pizza hut is offering 2 for 1 promotion now
M cafe has 20% off their menu

if I wasn't lactose intolerant.

I'd order a ton of dominos at 50% off right now.

Just vacuum seal each individual slice. Gotta ration yo.

buy like 100 samosas. freeze well and are deep fried so they are generally pretty safe to eat compared to other restaurant foods.

I am cooking mofo all day long. Can't be ordering out all the time cause just ain't health. Working from home has 1 thing, your eating hours are flex; which is not good.

Wake up at 7, then work on emails BAM... i'm hungry... look at my clock.. FML, it's 11 AM.

Eat...

Work work work... I'm hungry... it's 4:25....

I need to ensure i eat at a certain time.

ImportPsycho 03-24-2020 01:52 PM

tried out Superstore online pick up.
pretty fking useless in times like this.
half of my order cancelled.
So apparently they go pick orders, few hours before the pick up time. You get whatever is left on the shelves when they go pick your items.
Even though I ordered a week ago, and they had new shipments of high demand items, they don't save it for orders already in their system. it's not first come first serve for online orders.
They say, I just have to shop in-store and hope that items is in stock.

flour and baking supplies are always gone at superstore. You're right, there has to be a system in place. However, if what you ask is what you want, then people will all order online at 12:01AM and always be first in line...
it's tough times right now...

I’ve been cooking every night for the family and we’ve been eating very well during the past 8 days of quarantine. Rotisserie chicken, rib eyes, chipotle chili, shepherd's pie, sockeye, smoky maple pork chops, Korean chicken thighs and the best stir fry I’ve ever made with the leftover rotisserie chicken.

Can’t help but wonder if I’ll regret indulging in all the ingredients used over the last week or so if things don’t improve soon.

My avocados should be ripe tomorrow. It’s taco night :buttrock:

SkinnyPupp 03-24-2020 09:47 PM

I usually cook every night for my wife and her sister (our roommate) but sometimes I'll eat out after the gym just because I'm lazy.

As this has timed out, I started dieting just over a week ago, so this has actually made it so much easier. No more temptation to eat out, so I can eat as lean as I need to in order to keep calories at my goals.

I run every morning before breakfast and work out with bands on my roof in the afteroon. So far it's been decent. Won't lie, I miss lifting heavy already. I'll make do though.

People saying they are gonna get fat during the WFH... How about take this opportunity to lose some weight instead! 4Head

lol no kidding.

Shouldn't we be eating slightly less, because of the possible scenarios. Not over indulging during this quarantine.

Then again, good food is a treat

twitchyzero 03-25-2020 02:22 AM

that’s great if you’re prepared or have keys to your gym

there’s only so much cardio I can do in the rain or crunches on the mat

I can’t find dumbbells or pull up bar in store, netflix&snacking like a fiend and sleep schedule is all over the place

All the power to you lol. That sounds like way too much work grocery shopping when planning each meal.

I usually cook dinner nightly weekdays and meal prep lunch weekly, by buying a bunch of chicken thighs or steaks, combined with spinach or broccoli, and just change up the marinade.

The weekends would be when I would get some variety by eating out. But now, eating chicken thighs lunch and dinner daily got old fast.

Now that the wife's also working from home I definately need to re-think our consumption/stock levels of certain things. Like I never realised how much we took for granted free coffee at work. Normally we just need coffee on weekends, so a pound of coffee would last a month. At the rate we're going, we'll be lucky to get week out of a pound.

Hondaracer 03-25-2020 08:27 AM

We didn’t get a week out of a pound even before lol

Only the essentials:

We stock up on coffee weeks ago. Not almost all the coffee is clear. There is a bag here and there. You can try London drugs they seems to still have a lot of coffee left but not on sale and is very expensive.
