This is true. But still, the positives massively outweigh this negative. The batteries drain quick too which really sucks. It’s definitely not perfect but darn near close.

Believe me, I tried. Wife said nope but now she wants a big truck so I’m cool with that. Once the boy is out of his booster the van is gone. I’m just not ruining another seat with those damn booster seats lol

Is a 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid an option? Is it big enough? At $28,900, no 3rd row seating though.

If not, lots of Toyota Highlanders, can seat 7, available. Maybe even a Hybrid Highlander, like this one

Aaaannnd back to Sequoia territory. Lol

I have a 2nd gen Tundra and the bed is usually just filled with random crap. Any time I have to do a big HD or dump run, I hook up my 5x10 utility trailer - so much easier. Just something to consider - how much you need the 5.5' box on a crew cab. These trailers are pretty cheap at ~$1k or less, used.

Those are nice and luxurious. I sat in one and they have tons of space. 2nd row are captain seats and bench for 3rd row with decent leg room. They start around mid 40 grand, so if you want used probably have to wait 3 years.

Some pretty serious quality issues with those. 10AT programming is done really poorly, the interior is cost cut to hell, body panels and interior panels don't line up.

Chicago is the worst Ford assembly plant and the major retooling they had to do before Explorer production was late. The Explorer program alone built more prototypes than the F150 program despite having fewer variants.
