Anyone working at Porsche that can get a discount on parts ?

Specifically 2006 Cayenne Turbo S 2 piece front rotors

If someone works at Porsche or has a connection there it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you looking for original Porsche rotors, or are you open to aftermarket?

If aftermarket, try Germanparts.ca (I haven't used them, but some people swear by them.) Otherwise, the best discount most normal people get is 10% off with a PCA membership. If someone can help you out on something better, then you've hit the jackpot.

thanks for the advice, germanparts has them for 1100 a piece. That is 200$ more then my local supplier can get them for. Online price in the states is around 650 usd. I need to do more research and see if i can replace them with a 1 piece rotor which are sub $200

do u have to use OEM? if not, try fcpeuro, heard great things abt them on various forums

https://www.fcpeuro.com/Porsche-part...&t=5&b=11&v=14

their lifetime replacement guarantee. once u purchased and used the part from them, u can exchange (for free) for new identical parts once its worn, pretty much applies for everything.

i do buy parts for my bmw from fcp, but with duties it would be more expensive then what i can get locally. im trying not to spend 1000 a piece for rotors.

that is true, i guess other items that wear faster like brake pads are more worth the lifetime exchange program than rotors.

Is your Cayenne Turbo S optioned with the 380mm front brake rotor option? If so, you may be limited in your options. I haven't been able to find anything other than original Porsche rotors.

There's a thread on Rennlist where a fellow installed DBA brake rotors in what appears to be the 1-piece rotor, but I can't find the part he's looking at on the DBA website. I also don't know if the 350mm front rotor will work for your application. Edit: It looks like the guy who installed the DBA rotors has the Turbo model, not the Turbo "S" model. Sorry.)

(For reference - https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...nd-rotors.html - Look for post #13. Old thread, but may offer some insight.)

If you search the factory part number, 95535140261, AutoHausAZ has it on sale for $600USD each, but I think after taxes, shipping, duties, you're back at $1000 each.

I ordered from pelican parts and had success. They used to have a coupon for 10% your first order but they may not do that anymore.

If he orders from Pelican Parts, the currency exchange, shipping, duties, and taxes will end up costing him more than if he were to buy from the local dealerships. We can name all the US online parts stores, and none will come out top for him. Add insult to injury, his Cayenne's got the 380mm two-piece brake rotor option where there aren't any aftermarket options for him (they exist, but cost more than original Porsche.)

The rotor he needs are $743.50 USD (original Porsche) or $868.75 (OE - WTF???) Factor in the cheapest shipping they offer to Canada (Vancouver) add an additional $87.25 USD, plus rip off FedEx rape fees, taxes, and what have you...it snow balls from there.

Since ECS Tuning acquired Pelican Parts, I stopped buying from them

*cough* ouch. And I thought the rotors for my upcoming AP-Racing setup were expensive...

they really replace everything down to the dirty oil !! A friend of mine replaces all 6 of his ignition coils every time he buys something at FCP even though they are working fine.

Have you tried Weissach?

They've quoted me less than PCV for the same part.

Get the parts forwarded from the US by CrossBorder Pickups. They're out east so the Canadian portion of the shipping will be higher but it's not too bad.

I use Cross Border Pickups. They will charge you tax and duties on it at full rate. He may only save a hundred or two.

I don't think there's any harm in trying to find a better deal on some parts on a 14 year old car.
