Ended up stopped next to him at the light and I was like "Wow that was a close one huh? Thank goodness you got to this light before me tho right?" to him through his open window... bitch didn't even have the balls to look over just staring straight ahead.
If that little bitch was a CBC or mainlander, I would have yelled at him "Are you in a rush??? Delay no more! Diu Lay Lo Mo!!!!"

I don't know... like... insurance covers the cost of their car..................... and they chose not to buy optional coverage for a rental car so that's on them. How many other people are "screwed" out there because they didn't buy extra insurance and whatnot but didn't have a social media campaign behind them?

The systems are already in place to make sure they are squared up through ICBC replacing their vehicle and their injury claims which are going to cost all of us hundreds of thousands of dollars through ICBC payouts anyway. It seems an odd choice to suddenly decide these people are so needy compared to who knows how many other causes are out there to support. Cuz it's trendy in the news at the time?

The whole idea of these sort of campaigns are just weird to me / leave a bad taste in my mouth. It's like a bizarre melding of self-gratification and a popularity contest. Just randomly choosing people who had shitty days to give them a lottery win without even knowing if they have legitimate difficulties or not...

^ While I totally understand where you are coming from 100%.

Lets just sit back and relax.

You have to realize that this whole "campain" was started by a 9yr old. You know what I was doing when I was "9"? Playing need for speed on my PS1.

Yes the victim won the "lottery" in a sense, but that is what a "lottery" is, the lottery winner isnt determined by who needs money the most... its random.

Lets just be glad that a 9yr old have the heart and thought to help someone in "need". I understand there might NOT be a need, but given what information was publicly available, he made his assesment and determined he wanted to help the family.... If anything Im glad the "campain" worked out, think how much of a confidence boost it is to the kid. He will grow up to a better person because of this.

As for the victim family. Yea, its like free money raining down, yea its like winning the lotto. But if anything, I hope this gesture will change them to become better in the future as well. To receive good wills from good people promotes you being good to others as well (at least in theory).

I see it... the "win" far out weight the "fail" for something like this.

...Yes it causes all of us 10s if not 100s of thousands in insurance money. But we have to pay insurance regardless, if it doest pay for this incident, its going to pay for some c-lai in a richmond parking lot... So yes and no, it doens't really affect my life.... but of all the possible outcomes... this outcome is on the better half of the spectrum? Yea?

Enjoy the long weekend man.

^ Yay for justice,

But what a terribly written article. They used the lambo in the photo for the article when it was the Range Rover driver getting charged and then went on to talk about the rally and quoted the RCMP saying dangerous driving won't be tolerated...

Wow, such a misleading article! It seemed to focus more on the lambo & rally than the Range Rover & Irwin.
