Anyone see those rubber excercise Mats in their local Costco lately?
Bought one in the summer and want another. They are at least 6’ long and maybe 3’ wide. Rubber, not the yoga type.

I think they're at Willingdon and the location near your good friend (Brighton Ave.).
Or was it your third cousin, twice removed...........

Paging MG1.
Still Creek (Willingdon) Costco has cases of Fever Tree ginger beer. I didn't realize the cases were of smaller bottles, but that is actually good, limits my sugar intake.

So Costco has a Weber Spirit E330 for $699.99.
I figured using this old thread is better than opening a new thread.
Buuuttt.... Is it any good? I know Weber is a good brand but I know absolutely NOTHING about BBQs.
School me.

School me. | Webber the gold standard in BBQ's you can get from a big box store. That's a good deal.

School me. | I believe they started producing them in China several years ago. They used to all be made in the US and now only the higher end models are made in the USA. Youll have to look up the feedback on Chinese made webers cuz I don't know if they're good or not.

School me. | The Spirit E-330 is their basic model. Made in China, but that's ok, still has the warranty, and is generally pretty good.
It's a good grill, 699 is a good price for it. Spend the extra over the Nexgrill or whatever other brand Costco sells usually, as it will last longer.

I have the Weber spirit Costco sells not sure if it’s still that model or not
Mine has the 3 burners plus the broiler grill as well as the element on the side. I believe I paid around the same. I’ve had older Weber’s in the past snd the quality seems just as good. The only downside I noticed right off the bat is they have the ceramic coated grill grates as opposed to the full stainless ones.
Imo for the price probably hard to beat and it’s more grill than most people need

I’m disappointed in the Napoleon I have. My niece won it and gifted it to me so good thing I didn’t pay for it but after 4 years of regular use it’s probably on its last season already.
My next BBQ will be a Weber made in the USA.

I don't own one myself, but a recently purchased some home appliances from TA Appliances here in Toronto. I learned through the sales rep that they are also the manufacturer of Broil King and I think some Weber BBQs here in Ontario.

My next BBQ will be a Weber made in the USA. | I have a Napoleon Rogue and can't say I love it - it's not as hot as I would expect and flareups are way too frequent IMO. Napoleon has good reviews though - they're generally considered as good as Weber so maybe it's a case of buying the cheaper Chinese made one.
Re: Spirit E330 - Wirecutter consistently recommends the Spirit grills for most people. As long as it's got 3 burner you're golden.

Re: Spirit E330 - Wirecutter consistently recommends the Spirit grills for most people. As long as it's got 3 burner you're golden. | Another things you can do to reduce flare-ups is to clean the grill box and the burner caps (the triangle hoods) underneath regularly. I use a paint scraper to get everything off into the box, and then scrape it out into the grease tray every 3-4 months depending on how often I use it.
Also, if you get GrillGrates it will help to reduce the flare-ups. I am a believer in them now after having them for two seasons. Better searing, more even heat, and much less flare-ups than before - only when I do something super fatty like pork belly, even then the flaring is very minimal.

Re: Spirit E330 - Wirecutter consistently recommends the Spirit grills for most people. As long as it's got 3 burner you're golden. | You gotta step up to the Prestige (Mine is 5 years old and absolutely fantastic). The rogue are the Chinese made low end line. The Prestige lines are the Canadian made ones and are way higher quality. This is why you see the Rogues in box stores like Home Depot and Prestiges in specialized dealers.

It definitely needs some love. Quote:

Thanks for the tip - had looked at them before but didn't get a chance to read reviews on them. Seems like a really good idea. | Get a paint scraper or flat blade of some kind to scrape down the sides of the box. Works much better than shop towels or whatever else... scrape it down. If you need, you could even powerwash the burner hoods and grates if they're especially dirty.
Definitely consider them, they're worth the investment. Look out for the seconds sale for a much cheaper set, nobody will care that it doesn't match cosmetically lol.

2 year old Weber spirit Costco edition:
It lives outside so I wiped it down a couple weeks ago when I used it for the first time, the inside could use a cleaning but I looked at all the burners etc and all look fine no rot or wear
