Anyone used the shop Vac at Costco for around $90 for vacuuming the interior of their car? Is it solid?

Using a shop vac in a car interior is like trying to do surgery with a machete haha

I got that yellow Costco shop vac for around ~$60 when it was on sale.

I think it works well enough as a car vacuum although the hose that comes with it is a bit short and and rigid. I don't use the wiry brush attachment that it comes with though. I got a much softer horse-hair brush attachment from my parent's recently broken vacuum.

But if you're going to end up buying a longer more flexible hose and other attachments, you might as well just shell out the extra for the home depot vacuum: https://www.homedepot.ca/product/rid...9636?rrec=true

I got the same one - it's a DeWalt right? It's alright for the car but I find the attachments a bit too bulky so I can't get into small spots like between the seat and the centre console. I have an old tiny Armor All shop vac as well that I was going to toss once I got the DeWalt but I'm gonna keep it since it can get into small spaces.

I have the actual shop vac brand (Canadian Tire).

I use the stiff bristle brush for the carpet (Find this works way better than just the normal floor/utility nozzle)

And then use these for dash, soft plastics/fabrics and hard to reach parts

This, but my regular vacuum died so I had a friend 3d print an adapter so I can plug my regular vacuum hose into the shopvac.

What's the best vac I can buy to make vacuuming the car as easy as possible?

68style 06-27-2022 11:14 PM

Cheap Ridgid set from Home Depot. Add a car vacuum kit.

If anyone is looking for air conditioners, I heard the Willingdon location might have some this morning. They’ll be gone before the doors open. Line up and get vouchers I think is how they’re doing it. Phone ahead, in case.

Update: They have them.

i have a shop vac too, but really these days i just use my ryobi hand vac to vaccum to get most of the debris in my car. cordless and light so easy for me to get around

I use this ridgid one for detailing the cars:

Along with this kit from amazon. Beats paying $80 for the ridgit car detailing kit.

Last month, my son bought the Philips One Blade shaver from Costco. I asked him if it was good. He didn't go into any detail, so when they went on sale last week, I purchased it. Tried it out today. It is surprisingly good. I need it to shave my arm pits and below the belt. I've been using a razor and I've always had problems with burns and tiny cuts. I use shaving cream and whatnot, but not fun. This One Blade does a really good job. No pulling of hairs. Didn't matter how long the hairs were. No shaving cream needed. The kit comes with three blades. and three trim pieces for cutting length, and, guards for body hair removal. The blades are supposed to last for three to four months. Plenty of good reviews. I didn't realize how much hair I have. Anyway, with it being on sale, you can't lose.

Cleanliness is next to godliness..........

I used to work with a lot of smelly individuals............ reminds me of Bacterian in Dragonball. Krillin doesn't have a nose, but he smelled him, gulolol.

My kids watched Dragonball Z all the time. I learned that shit from them. And, they learned 60's and 70's music from me. Anyway, carry on carrying on.

mikemhg 09-06-2022 10:21 AM

Armpits though? I used to shave my armpits and then found it silly :lol

MG1 09-06-2022 10:36 AM

Yup, armpits. Hairs there so long, make an Italian woman's................ nvm. Badhobz might not want to hear any details. First time doing it and must admit, it feels weird.

Bundaberg Ginger Beer is on sale at Costco in the states. Got me a case last Monday. I believe it's all month long.

Rainy/Misty evening I limped the SC430 with a dead battery (thanks for not driving it IN-LAW DAD!!!) to costco without dying. Thank god the alternator is so stout on the SC.

Wrenching in the parking lot to replace AGM while wacko old men pop out of the woodworks to come inquire about the SC. Got my warranty honored, full refund and core charge, and got some new Michelin wipers for the SC while i was there.

God i love COSTCO !!!!!!!!

I might have posted this elsewhere, but it's useful information. Some of it is not applicable here in Canada. Some are outdated.

Badhobz 02-14-2023 10:55 AM

Razor Ramon HG 02-14-2023 01:50 PM

Lol, picked one up. I saw them in the warehouse once, but they didn't have my size. Quality seemed reasonable.
