$4.99 Costco "McFlurry", Vanilla ice cream with either Oreo or Skor bits.

acrophobia 03-22-2023 10:05 PM

Canadian Costco chickens now come in a plastic bag (and I swear they are smaller than ever), priced at $7.99. US Costco chickens are massive in comparison (I honestly bet they are 40-50% larger) and priced at $4.99. “Hey kids, we’re going to have chicken for dinner every night on our US trip!”. :awwyeah:

I don't have any proof, but I'd guess due to regulatory differences they can add more filler to chickens or let them grow larger, or whatever. I don't think it's an economics thing.

It's kind of like how American milk lasts almost twice as long as Canadian milk.

4.99 seems pretty steep, no? Maybe if it was like 3.49 or something.

McD is around 4.49-4.69? Might not be as big, but least you know it's the real deal.

Sorry, I should have said whole roaster chickens.

Selective breeding and big breasts ftw!

They taste just like chocolate milk but have 50% more protein and 50% less sugar than regular milk. My nephews who play hockey love thew. I have a ninja creami and use fair life chocolate milk to make ice cream. tastes great.

Forgot there's no more chicken wings at Costco food court. Walked away empty handed and disappointed

Hot dog + poutine is still a solid fallback. I miss those wings though - great deal and pretty tasty.

EvoFire 03-27-2023 12:53 PM

Was going to be for dinner cause we got some garlic bread and salad, and had soup at home. Poutine crossed my mind, but having to keep my kid's hands off of the poutine on the way home, and it getting all soggy dashed that idea.

lilaznviper 03-27-2023 08:50 PM

sad that costco no longer have chicken wings. everytime i go, i hope that they put the sign back up

Badhobz 03-30-2023 06:20 PM

Picked this up from Costco today. 599. Hopefully it’ll stay warm. It says it’s insulated so it looks promising. It’ll take 24-30h to heat up the water
