Well, the 8 pack of 5oz A5 sirloin is $499 so if you don't mind doing a bit of cutting while it's frozen then it sounds like a great deal.

Now that I'm back in Vancouver from my Japan trip I'm totally like wtf when I look at the prices we pay here for stuff like this. Yea yea I know you can't compare but shit one of the last meals I had in Japan I cooked at our air bnb, got like 20 thick pieces of A5 Japanese wagyu from the Supermarket and it was like $18.

I've lost count of the number of people who just came back from Japan, myself included. The price of things in Japan was so cheap compared to what we pay here! The weak Yen really helped too...

Anyway, was at Costco the other day. Samples, what can I say? Tried this Stok's Cold Brew Coffee. For me, it was pretty good. They were also on sale. Pretty decent price, too (forgot exactly how much).

Not sure if others have mentioned this, but the Willingdon Costco, for at least a couple of months now, have scanners at the entrance. As far as I know, it's the only location that does this. Pilot project, I guess. Why this location? Probably because it has the highest number of not so honest people, lol. You quickly put your membership card up to the scanners and a picture of you shows up on the screen that faces the employees. Scanners to bust scammers, jbol.

i wonder when they'll start asking for membership at the food court. The hobos at the downtown costco will riot then

I thought Costco purposefully put the food court where it is to capture non-member sales...

The scanners are a brilliant move on their part and I can almost guarantee you they will be in every Costco shortly. It’s perfect free data, they can get soooo much info from those scanners.

Square up time of entry to time of checkout, reference your receipts to know exactly where you spent that time within the store etc.

oh i didn't know willingdon was a pilot, i thought they rolled that out everywhere.

About a year ago, they started checking cards at the self serve. I guess a lot of non members got into the place and paid for items at the self serve using someone else's membership card. They even check for cards at the Bellingham Costco self pay.

I find at Still Creek it's hit and miss for some one manning self serve. Richmond is always manned, not sure if it's to prevent cheap China fucks cheating the system or dumb China fucks who can't use a touchscreen. Probably both.

I refuse to go to the Richmond Costco, mainly because the parking sucks there, plus the last times I was there I had my cart stolen, and had to ram a dumb CF's cart out of the line for trying to line up in 2 cashier lines at once and cutting back into my line.

Wowowowo speaking of cart thief. There was this white lady, Middle age, wearing full nurse scrubs who tried to steal my cart full of groceries. I’m like what the fuck you doing ? And she just walked away. Then I see her a minute later steal some other dudes cart also full of groceries but this time successfully. I was gonna stop her but I’m just curious as to what the hell she would do with a cart full of groceries

I think she has mental problems. She also drives a black miata cuz I saw this dumb bitch on the way out from Costco. She’s so friggin visible with her full nurse scrubs and she’s cutting everyone off like an entitled bitch
