its huge rolls man. Like look at the size of that standard soy sauce packet next to one of those rolls. its almost lengthwise the same as the sauce packet.

6 of these rolls fill you up already. The rest i was gonna just throw it at my old lady secretary or in the trash. but me being cheap, im gonna take them home and eat them later UNREFRIGERATED, cuz fuck you food safety.

I've not had great experiences with any prepackaged or frozen foods from Costco unless it's a common product like hot pockets.

The Kirkland branded tempura shrimp are quite good. They get nice and crispy just in the oven

I had it last week and it's not horrible if you like schnitzel. It's a bit lean IMO but the sauce is nice and it air fries really easily so if you want a fast, edible meal then this is not the worst thing you could eat. My wife didn't like it as she thought it was too dry.

I'm gonna try their new French Onion meatball bake tonight - I'm not sure how I'm supposed to eat it though. It's not very saucy (like a stroganoff) and it comes with no carbs or veg so what do they want me to do with it?

Seriously, air frying schnitzel? (and then complaining it's dry)?

Wasn’t too bad. A bit salty for my taste but it balances out with the potato and sauerkraut

The French onion meatball bake turned out to be pretty good - I put it on some pasta and it was just saucy enough for it. Think of it as a non-creamy stroganoff that's a bit salty. Probably works well with a side of roasted potatoes too.

Same.

I've always found their pre-made food to taste like ass.

The pizza pops are horrible, we ended up buying a box a few months back and had to give them shits away. Barely any filling, all pastry, and for some reason the tomato sauces is...orange?

The Costco frozen burger patty's are still some of the best camping burgers you can buy though.

pizza pops are literal children's food lol. no wonder you didn't like them.
i used to work part time at a lan cafe when i was 20 and we'd serve those up all day long.
if someone offered me one today i'd prob eat it but i cant imagine buying those now.
i used to be the only one who spent the time making them properly too. nuke them for 1 minute then finish in the toaster oven. everyone else just nuked them until they exploded then served them like that lol

I mostly agree but I think there are some solid choices in there at times - I like the pot pie, the lobster penne (not always available), and the beef donair wraps (comes and goes). The lasagna is fine too - nothing special but works in a pinch.

I don't think that stuff is intended to be great food - it's classic "Need to nourish the family and I don't have time or desire to think about it" food. I got 7 dinners I have to prepare each week and we will order in/eat out twice a week, and I'll make a couple nice meals a week that yields some good leftovers and then I'm left with 3 lazy meals. The Costco stuff covers 1-2 of the 3 lazy meals.

The only thing I've bought so far that I would buy again is the sheperds pie. I haven't tried the pot pie, I saw it on Saturday and didn't pick it up.

The pot pie is quite good and probably the best deal of any pre-made meals given how much chicken is in it. You get sick of it very quick though lol

The Detroit pizza is probably the best frozen pizza I’ve had… but it’s still frozen pizza. Lol

Edit: would buy again

It's pretty delicious but Christ, it's greasy. If I wanted a Pizza Hut pan pizza experience I'll just go walk up to my Pizza Hut and drown in their grease. Pizza Hut pan pizza is my twice a year indulgence - love it going down and then I realise it was a terrible fucking idea.

That frozen one doesn’t make you feel like you’ve got the flu after you eat it like Pizza Hut does though lol

I thought that was part of the charm of eating Pizza Hut.

I agree, something nostalgic about that greasy ass crust.

You eat that thing and about an hour or so later you're peeing out your asshole. Then you're sitting on the toilet asking yourself if it was worth it.

It was.

RS group buy? Ship to Blaine lol. I had both Lou Malnati and Giordanos on my trips to Chicago and I prefer Giordanos.

Just back from NYC. Sorry but no other pizza style this side of the Atlantic compares. Only place where I can eat 2 slices, be reasonably full, not feel gross and want more for the next meal.
