yeah i dont understand how anyone can use 5000k in their house. even when i was a renter and the suite had like 30 pot lights i changed them all on my dollar right when i moved in. need that 2600 or 3000k warmth
when i look up at a condo tower at night and see some of the units with those cold science lab lights i cant help but to judge

Great68 02-27-2025 07:08 AM

The people who complain about buzzing probably had them on dimmers.
Cheap LED's are garbage when it comes to dimming (Even when they say "dimmable")

I just changed out my entire house to the Lutron Caseta Smart-Dimmer system.

I had a bunch of these cheap Luminus brand bulbs from costco:

https://www.costco.ca/luminus-led-13...000227961.html

They were fine on the old toggle switches, but after putting in the dimmers they buzzed like crazy.

I had to change them out for quality Philips and GE bulbs, no more buzzing. Get what you pay for I guess.

lutron have pretty decent/user friendly lighting control options that are retrofit friendly and budget friendly. mind you it's been years since i had to deal with that stuff.

i recall caseta i think, good for retrofit, wireless etc

15 dollars for a two pack ?! It’s a steal !!! Now I can control fairy lights, string lights and soon the Xmas tree via voice or Google home app.

Noticed they dropped the price on these down to $10 for 2-pack.

Here is another cake that is pretty good. Only bought it because they were giving out samples or else I don't typically buy things from the bakery area (except one time for that scoop tiramisu cake).

I had it too, it's good but I'm sure it's a damn calorie bomb.

I returned my 5 year old Igloo cooler today before it could chop any of my moneymaking fingers off.

Then I spent $230.36 on food and handed over my $230 cash back voucher. :fullofwin:

There's also a similar store in Coquitlam on united Blvd that sells returns or discontinued Costco items

Badhobz 03-12-2025 08:58 PM

So half their inventory is the trash I returned a few weeks ago ?!

underscore 03-13-2025 08:25 AM

That sounds right up your alley Hobz. Buy something, return it, then go re-buy it at the liquidation store for cheaper as an open box.

Badhobz 03-13-2025 08:33 AM

but then i cant return it 10 years later!!!! :okay:

Idk if this belongs more in here or the F1 thread, but Costco currently has the LEGO Speed Champions sets of a bunch of the F1 teams for $28. They're $35 on lego.com

https://www.lego.com/cdn/cs/set/asse...ight=528&dpr=3

blkgsr 03-15-2025 07:18 AM

in store?

underscore 03-15-2025 09:35 AM

They were in store here, I didn't think they were even out yet so it surprised me to see them.

68style 03-15-2025 09:04 PM

They only have the main teams... so McLaren, Merc, Ferrari, Red Bull... if you want the other teams like Aston or Sauber you gotta get it from Lego or Walmart

Missed opportunity to make the Ferrari driver figure helmet yellow... or a black figure lol

so you got brand name bulbs and lutron dimmers?

I got pot lights that buzz/flicker on FEIT (costco) dimmer switches. I want to bite the bullet and go all on lutron like you. I got 8 dimmer switches at $70/pop - aint cheap.

red kryptonite 03-16-2025 09:35 PM
