At Brighton Avenue, they just put them out and there wasn't even a sign up. The woman who showed me where they were said not to worry, so I picked up four.

At HS we just got the Lava bar. In pre-apprenticeship school we used the dry, green, Worx cleaner. It worked pretty good. I cringe to think I used to have to brush my nails, everytime I went on a test drive or a break. Hell, I still remember wiping my hands down with solvent soaked rags, to get most of the grease off.

^^ dude that dry green stuff was amazing

Ps you dive locally then? your dry suit certified? done it a few times here (190 of my 200 dives are warm water) and just can't get used to it

I used to dive locally, but to be frank that was while I was in my 20s and before I had kids. I've only been down twice in the last 15 years.. Mexico, and Hawaii lol. My wetsuit is 7mm however, and it wasn't not too bad for me, but does get cold especially in November/December.

Had a buddy come up after 45 mins with me with blue lips and slurring his words.. so dry suit is the way to go locally, but I guess my extra layer of "insulation" kept it reasonably comfortable for me in the wetsuit.

B!tch 10-23-2020 11:40 AM

Any other local divers here?

fliptuner 10-23-2020 02:45 PM

Only dumpster and muff

Sometimes the muff is in the dumpster

Lilaznviper, masks are still in stock at the Willingdon location. I was there at closing time. A little low, but get there in the morning and you’ll be okay. They now have black ones.

Flip and others looking for the blue nitrile gloves, they are on order and will arrive on the 13th of November. Only 400 are slated to arrive.

Dove when I was in my 20s, man, I was brave, wetsuits and I dove Whytecliff & Porteau Cove etc. Then I went all the way to get my Dive Master & Instructor license.
Now, i'm too old and all my buddies are married with kids. Last time i dove was 6 yrs ago in Bali. Only warm water diving for me.
300 ft wrecks (Chaudiere);I almost got stuck in there / got caught and couldn't free myself until a good 2 min.

Now all you divers on RS have to get together and tell stories about your adventures............. like that scene in Jaws.

Spoiler!

blkgsr 10-28-2020 01:23 PM

nice, ya i did my DM certification and have a few specialties.

my highlights have been Komodo, Galapagos, Red Sea and most of all Socorro.

Obsideon 10-28-2020 06:03 PM

I like how this Costco thread took a hard left turn but it's still enjoyable haha

I went to DT Costco to get some grub and the tables are still not back yet so I ate by the bike rack outside... saw half a dozen mice running around the bushes, almost darting into my poutine ... :heckno: I grabbed all my shit and walked to the other side and ate off the 2" ledge by the wall ... super inconvenient not sure I'll go back until they put the dining area back.

Hondaracer 10-28-2020 06:05 PM

that DT dining area was dirty af at the best of times lol

Obsideon 10-28-2020 06:48 PM

That's true but it couldn't be worse than eating off the ledges speckled with bird shit and mice running around lol ...

Teriyaki 10-28-2020 08:01 PM

Don't forget all the hobo piss. I abhor eating around that area, its such shit show. Literally

lilaznviper 10-28-2020 09:52 PM

went to superstore to get the fries that costco uses at the food court, air fried them and taste exactly the same. no more trips to costco just for their fries now and come out with a hundred dollars worth of stuff i didn't want to get.

MG1 10-28-2020 10:09 PM

Cavendish?

Manic! 10-29-2020 01:01 AM

Costco sells the same fires they selling n there food court in big bags. I find the coating makes a mess.

punkwax 10-29-2020 06:34 AM

I’ve found Cavendish fries are actually better in the oven than the air fryer. Have to cook them longer than the package suggests though to get them nice and crispy.
