They did a good job, no issues. Parts were from The Retrofit Source. I ran 55W and they were bright af, no problems.

Great to know. How much do they charge for the works? I am getting all the parts from TRS too.

Turned out to be extremely straightforward. Just imagine you're roasting some meat, except it's a headlight. Same idea.
There's a million DIYs online, including videos. It's really hard to mess up.

I've done it a on a few cars before, it's the easiest if you buy a second set of headlights to mess with. Therefore you can take your time and do it right. Unless you don't need to drive your car for like a week. Sometimes you won't know the fitment until you have everything apart and what you need to paint, cut depending on what you're trying to do

I am doing this on my 14 ford raptor, OEM HID housing is too expesnsive to mess with... around $2000usd a pair... that's why I am looking for a pro to do it.
There are couple LED aftermarket complete plug and play assembly avaiable like Morimoto, alpharex, but I heard a good projector retrofit will still be much brighter than those LED.

There aren't local shops that do this anymore. It takes too long to completed a set of lights and the profit margins aren't there.
If you want this doen I would look on hidplanet forum and ask users there.
For your Raptor you can get the XB LED headlights https://www.theretrofitsource.com/09...150?quantity=1
or https://www.theretrofitsource.com/09...led?quantity=1
they hybrid (2nd link) uses a mixture of LED and incandescent bulbs which reduces the cost. The main beam is still LED so you really shouldn't have any issues.
Buying the above lights make things a bit easier as they're plug and play, DOT legal and zero sealing issues.
Years ago HID was certainly brighter than LED however this has flipped. LED generally excel in comparissons. Cooler, uses less power it's a winwin.

Only thing with led is quality is hit and miss, and you don't have all the color options you do with hid. Also hid is more proven and less likely to have weird beam pattern issues

If you want colour options in HID you're not in it for output.
The XB Led has been in the industry long enough for many to trust them and these are LED projectors not LED in HID projectors. They're designed for it.

Join headlight junkies on Facebook. They have a list of builders of the page and you can also post if anyone is willing to take on a job. But you're most likely shipping a headlight out. I'd suggest someone like Caesar from lightwerkz. But ask around, I'm sure there is someone that specializes on your car.
