Motte slew-footed Gaudette, with both players falling dangerously backwards to the ice. Gaudette was really pissed, getting up before both guys dropped the gloves.
Gaudette does not call himself Hockey Gaud on IG for nothing.
Some people's feelings were hurt. Better hurt than dead, I say. Some people just don't get it. Listen to the whole rant. IMHO, he's totally in his right to freak out (he's the producer). Not how most people would have handled it, but there's so much to lose.
As for the NHL, it is what it is. Even with no fans, COVID can easily find its way in. Puck Bunnies are not immune...... had to put that in there, lol.
I'm hoping it was just a scare. No players involved. Just someone who works at the facility, has tested positive.

Yea I have a feeling it may be one of those things where he’s placed on waivers and then clears but is brought back up right away

This. He needs to clear waivers to go on the taxi squad.
Same with Sven Baertschi.

I forget but can someone explain briefly what happens when someone like Loui goes on waivers?
If he clears waivers then he is no longer counted towards our cap but he still gets the money? Why didn't we waive him last year, or the year before that? What took the management so long to finally waive him. He has been crap for a while now.
You don’t get the full cap hit savings, only a portion based on a bunch of factors
So I think the hesitancy is both from ownership and coaching in that, A) your paying this guy all this money to be buried in the minors, at worst he’s still an NHL player that can be defensively sound and B) coaching would rather have a sound vet in the press box over a rookie who they can’t comfortably slot into the lineup even on the defensive side
Apperently next year the buy-out becomes a lot more attractive in terms of the cap relief so look for the total buy out to happen then if need be
