Anyone else irked that Greener put out "defensive" forwards for the last min, even on the PP? It feels like they're just giving McDavid the green light to skate around and try to score (which he almost did a few times in the last minute).
Treat it like a real PP, and odds are the Van PP can keep the puck in the offensive zone to kill the clock.

No, for 3 reasons:
1) Possible optics of running up the score
2) What’s the purpose of those players if they’re not out there to play in a defensively minded time?
3) Why risk injury to your stars from a bunch of pissed off desperate Oilers

it's also gives those players ice time which is needed since there were no preseason games this year which you could tell since the play was so sloppy for both teams.
