Genesis G70?. Turbo + AWD. Or better yet wait for the new one. Such a handsome car. Im sure you can bring to a Hyundai dealer for service.

It looks great, but man would I have a hell of a hard time spending 60k on a Hyundai... I don't know why.

yray 10-27-2020 08:17 PM

wagon

crosscountry stuff?

BIC_BAWS 10-27-2020 08:47 PM

It's kind of in your non-negotiables - you have to buy it used for it to be under 80K.

Volvo V60 (wagon) or S60 (sedan) polestar

https://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/jp...olestar-31.jpg

Around 35K - 45K used. Only ones I've found so far is in Calgary and Ontario. I believe 1500 units worldwide or 80 units for Canada per MY.

But AWD, 345hp, 369ft-lbs, the Asin 8 speed is meh tho.

Or Q50/60 RedSport 400. 400hp; 350ft-lbs; awd. Starts at 65K

dared3vil0 10-27-2020 08:57 PM

Hmmm. Q60 red sport 400. Added to the list. Interesting idea!

EDIT: Playing around on Nissan configurator, $1,550/ month lease. For a nice Nissan. LOLOL

That's M5 money

Good point. I saw a GT500 at a job site ~ 1hr north of Cold Lake in January once.

Came to suggest golf R.
Also, what about a 996/7 c4s? Could be had for WAY under your budget. Manuel, 2 door, plenty of power and the AWD can power through some reasonable snow. Might not meet the rough road requirement though.

I did before Genesis was even a brand... lol... a 420hp 5.0L V8 luxury sedan with AWD for $60k is a steal and the H badge just means it's not going to break down on you... It's been 5 years and time to trade in soon, highly likely going to be another Genesis.

I was going to suggest the C4S too, but he wants to buy new. :okay:

Ahh I didn’t read properly and got too excited. Fuckin hell though hammering on one of those with snow tires would be amazing

I would seriously consider dumping the new requirement for a 911, how bad some of our roads are concern me though to be honest. The reason I want to go new is so I can lease it for a couple years and dump it. I don't want to be stuck with a 340I M sport I payed 70k for that is worth 30k in 3 years haha.

donk. 10-28-2020 09:35 PM

Scrap those ideas and buy a UNIMOG

sdubfid 10-28-2020 09:45 PM

What would timpo say?

Too bad these aren't actually available to buy or lease.

If you're leasing an $80k vehicle aren't you spending about $40k over 3 years anyways?

bcuzracecarz 10-28-2020 10:29 PM

+1 for golf R with tune

Another option- Wait for the new sti? I wouldn’t waste time with current gen sti, you wouldn’t be satisfied coming from the FA in the WRX. Having driven both a ton I’d much rather have a modded wrx than sti for daily driving.

tofu1413 10-29-2020 08:54 AM

Golf R

RS3 / TT RS will be cool. that 5 cylinder is potent AF. theres a degree of collectible goods to those AUDI RS cars as they dont churn out the same numbers as the BMW M cars.

or even something like this

Does anyone know a good benz sales guy? Seriously considering a C43 AMG in blue on saddle.

I dunno if it can handle dirt roads and deep snow, but we might find out!

If you're interested in taking another look at Q50 pricing, shoot me a PM.

noclue 11-09-2020 05:26 PM

German cars don't come with block heaters if you don't have a garage FYI

I would be somewhat interested, but a Q50 redline appears to be 50% more to lease than a C43, which is nuts. If you want to throw together a 24 month 25km per year, feel free to PM me deets. Thanks!

I have a garage but the toys get the heated parking lol

Europe has some very cold areas, it's weird the german stuff doesn't have block heaters.

I'm sure it would have remote start, wouldn't it?

Ding 11-09-2020 06:35 PM

Are you not considering a c43 wagon?

dared3vil0 11-09-2020 07:26 PM

Not a huge fan tbh. I like sedans or coupes.
