I second aquapel, one application is good for 6 months. Because of Covid, I had nothing to do so I started washing the car more often and I think I applied it 3 times over the summer.. wonder how long that's going to last me... lol

Maybe my aquapel is old but I applied it during covid and it's pretty much all gone. I think it stopped beading after about 3 months. So now I've just been spraying some meguiars hybrid ceramic wax on the windows when I top up my wax

^^ I didn't notice any oily steaks. I find with ceramic wax sometimes I don't even buff off and it makes no difference to the product. However, it's definitely not that durable, maybe around 3 months tops but reapplying is just so easy. Just don't do that spray and rinse with water that they tell you as that's just wasting the product and washing it off. I find drying the car first then reply with a microfiber is the best.
I do want to try the new 303 graphine spray as that's supposed to last for a year.

GlassParency with carpro reload, then reapply Reload after 3 months. It's been 4 months since applying GlassParency and water still beads well.
Repurposing the different sprays and coatings probably won't get you 6 months or 1 year claims due to the abrasive nature of running the wipers across your windshield.

O for the 3 months of ceramic wax I was referring to the car over all. For some reason the hood and trunk area seems to fade the fastest. Hood I understand, but not sure why trunk and rear bumper

Also, use silicon wipers. A good set of PIAA or PIAA inserts will deposit silicon on the windshield over time as you use them. You probably won't even need to use coatings. I use both.

Looks like there are a few recommendations for aquapel. Check a few places, would amazon be my best bet at roughly $10 per application.

That's where I bought from last time. I got 20 for just over $100, qualified for free shipping. 20 is a lot but I had a few friends that needed some. Typically, I apply 2-3 times a year and it takes me 2 to do all the glass on the car. If you're just doing the windshield, front windows, and mirrors then one will do.

It's been years since I've used rain x but I recall they used to be very oily and greasy also haze's the windshield. Do they still do that? I'm interested in any other products with better durability than aquapel. Even with aquapel I find it only sheds above 60 kmph, so it's not super useful in city driving

I find no matter what wiper I buy, they lift and chatter at high speeds but OEM wipers don't seem to do that... and OEM fits the windshield best.
I think I paid like $21 for the 26" and $10 for the 16". Sure, it's a lot more than other wipers but I bought my set back in 2016 and I only changed them out for a new set this past summer because they were starting to streak a little.
If I left them there, they'd probably be good for another 2 years but I figure why not, they're 4 years old. I used to steer away from PIAA because it was a ricer brand in the 2000's. People would have stickers plastered bigly on their cars... but I figure I'd give it a shot... worth the money IMO
