slip was 11.10 @ 123.33

dragy is very accurate, never seen it miss by more than 2/100s up or down

if i remember correctly timeslip doesnt measure your mph at the end of the track, its between 1,254 feet and 1,320 feet, the average speed between the two lights produces the mph on your timeslip

3400lb @ 11s
2600lb @ 10.6s

Can't imagine you upgrade the turbo one step up

It will happen eventually, not going to go too crazy but 10.5 would be the goal with upgraded twins and just leave it at the same weight so i can daily it when i want to. Not into driving completely gutted cars.

asian_XL 06-07-2021 06:25 AM

wonder if the transmission can hold up all the power?

trollface 06-07-2021 06:56 AM

Every trans can hold any power, the question is the duration of time said power is held.

it can hold 650 hp/ 600 tq. Torque is the killer here. i have a spare trans with 110k on it with new fluids ready to go if mine blows. its pretty expensive to upgrade the stock 6AT so people usually do a manual swap or upgrade to a 8 speed ( new kits just came out so you can use f series trans )

68style 06-07-2021 07:09 AM

Transmissions have gotten so good these days it's crazy... like there are so many factory turbo cars running around with automatics that are damn near indestructible.

I see some Ford guys even locally with the EcoBoost V6 running insane power and numbers on the Explorer ST and not even touching the tranny at all.

Edit wrong thread

JDMDreams 06-07-2021 09:46 AM

^^ I just sold my rhd daily beater. Not sure if I'll buy JDM again, the JDM double dins have lots of the cars features tied up into the OEM deck. But everything is in Japanese and pretty much useless. Sure I can replace but I lose functions. Plus apparently JDM cars often don't come with cruise control which is something I use daily. One of the reasons why I sold mine

68style 06-07-2021 11:21 AM

How the fugg do you ever use cruise control anywhere in the GVRD

twitchyzero 06-07-2021 12:41 PM

I wish manuals can have Subaru eyesight:okay:

I’d take it over hill-hold

JDMDreams 06-07-2021 12:47 PM

I drive the highway daily.

i dynoed at 460 whp 530 wtq

manuals cant come even close to 11.0 on stock turbos, hard to launch, easy to break axles.

There are manuals with 600 whp struggling to get into the 10s.

8 speeds can hold more power and shift faster.

Got clear side markers installed on the Porsche and had a few nice days weather wise so took a few photos of the Porsche and the Daily Subaru.
the "boxer engine pair" haha

Do you ever worry you'd get a VI?

trollface 06-09-2021 08:03 AM

Yes. It's partly why it has not seen daylight in 2 years or so.

The car is 100% legal and safe except for the non-covered Aux lights (I have covers). I can't risk getting it towed to a yard if someone thinks a car from 1969 came with Cats. I was actually in the process of getting Modified Collectors plates until the guy doing my inspection died halfway through the inspection... that's a story for another day.

bcrdukes 06-09-2021 08:27 AM

...:inoutugh: RIP

I can imagine our friends at the VPD would nail you on the following:
1. Too many lights
2. Yellow fog lights
2. Electrical tape crossed in an "X" pattern on headlights
3. Front grill club badge
4. White circle on door
5. Side view mirrors too far up on the car

:troll:
(Know that I am kidding and exaggerating)

P.S. - We need the story.

I used to keep a copy in my glovebox of the section of the MVA regarding shoulder belts not being required in pre-1973 vehicles, was getting pulled over constantly in my Mustang back in the day for not wearing a seatbelt.
