Haha, still a great shot nevertheless. And cars like this is why I miss North America. They are rare finds (and expensive) in HK. Grass is greener on the other side i guess. But it's amazing to see how the Challenger still looks great to me after 8+? years.

Upgrade for the wife. Sold the 2019 and bought this 2021 R-Line. Went with white this time because, you know, user name authenticity. So far so good but she’s eyeballing a Tundra now so we’ll see how long this one lasts. Lol!

Might as well wait for the new Tundra bugs to be worked out once they go TTV6 next year. It shouldn't be that bad considering the engine is already in the LS500.

twitchyzero 02-05-2021 01:54 PM

is it really coming next year though

rav4 prime was announced like year and half ago and probably still more elusive than new video cards

I'll wait for any rebates that may come out later in the year. I almost bought one last year and Toyota had a $4,000 cash rebate. Perhaps not likely this year due to all the production shortages though. We'll see.

I'll certainly wait until the official next generation announcement but I'm not excited for anything turbo. There were rumors of a hybrid attachment onto the 5.7L V8 but I don't see that materializing. I'd like the get the final year of the current generation anyway since, as with my 4Runner, it's the archaic nature of the vehicle that I prefer. At least they hold their value decently so if we decided to swap for the new gen in a few years we wouldn't lose our shirt.

How do you get from an Atlas (I think?) to a Tundra? Ride quality and ... well everything is totally different.

Maybe a Taco.. or a 4runner would be a better fit? Even then, the interior is not going to be up to the VW.

I have my 4runner coming in at the end of the month, so I love this shit. But I also would have kept my defender if it wasn't giving my wife panic attacks while she drove it.

I've gotten a ride in the Atlas, the interior is pretty bad on it, molding flash everywhere, noisy.... Maybe they've gotten better since the beginning, imo the only thing good was the price to size ratio.

JDMDreams 02-06-2021 12:43 PM

Do the jdm odyssey have any transmission issues? Still worried that they come from that bad era. And the jdm integrated climate navi cluster must be a bitch to use? Doesn't seem like you can swap out easily.

The largest factor in our decision making. The 2021 refresh is nice over the 2018/2019 model years but you are mostly right on your analysis. Better fit/finish over domestic offerings but being under powered would be its biggest downfall.

These guys are K24 powered.
so its not the V6 tranny's that i think you are referring too

ever hear of a transmission problem on a CRV or AWD Honda element?
I haven't

Purposely found an absolute with no Navi
But this can be easily bypassed. They have double din kits on ebay that deletes it
