If the store is out of childrens medicine, I believe you could ask the pharmacist and they could have some alternative solutions such as using their pill cutter to cut the appropriate dosage for your child's weight or something like that.
I wouldn't give the full adult med to children since their body might not be able to process all of it which could lead to liver damage. But I'm not a pharmacist.

Uppababy products on sale for black friday. They don't often go on sale so good idea if you're in the market.

Yay socialism! lol | $10/day? I'm only getting the bigger subsidy so we're down to $1200/mo (from $1640 or so).
FWIW, it's not actually socialism, it's actually good economic policy. Subsidising daycare results in more moms (and dads) choosing to work so it pays for itself in more productivity and more tax revenue.

That alone makes it a good policy in any developed country because most (all?) developed countries have birth rates that are lower than the replacement fertility rate, and having a declining population is a receipt for disaster for any country in the world.

My wife works at the center we send the kid to, and from what she told me initially there was backlash from higherups about participating because it's "extra paperwork and we don't want to government poking around."
Then every single parent started to ask when they were going to see the discounts, and they were kind of forced to. I mean I'm all for it, and from the parent's perspective nothing has changed for the level of care the kid is receiving. Wife is also getting something like a $4/hour boost in wages, so we're "double dipping", per se, lol.

Perhaps this is a scenario where they're raising the rates before Dec kicks in when the lower rates come. Guess I'll find out soon.

Guess I'll find out soon. | One of the conditions the government set to be eligible to partake in subsidies is that the center can't do exactly what you described, jack up the prices so parents don't see any savings.
Maybe they told you the unsubsidized rates or something, it's pretty weird that it'd go up.

Either way we'll see!

Our daycare fee is $500 starting Dec 1. It's not $10/day but honestly I'm pretty happy.
We were paying $1150 in the summer, we switched to one that is 950, and that's now becoming 500 with the fee reduction.

Maybe they told you the unsubsidized rates or something, it's pretty weird that it'd go up. | So good news is we're paying less now from roughly $1500 to $900 something. Nice surprise to see on the November withdrawal but would have been cool if they stated up front but oh wells.
