I'm just a bitter old mid 30s grump who has a severe pet peeve of 14 year olds dressed like club rats. It was a good night overall. I'm just not as into it as I once used to be and had such high hopes for food and a great marketplace which was a bit underwhelming. Had it been pre-covid it would've been spectacular. Perhaps it's the excitement of seeing 10,000 people crowded together all having a great time and being part of it. Just didn't feel that way last night.

I’m watching, sort of, the lumberjack show. Everybody seems to be enjoying it. I’m way at the back listening to the Jays lose in extra innings.

Big, burly men with chainsaws sweating it out, ftw. All white cast.

Ax throwing and climbing up the pole to ring the bell. Good entertainment.

Bring back Demolition Derby!!!!!!

It’s actually not that bad. Social distancing is not happening. I’m sitting on a bench waiting for my kids to be done and people without masks on stand right next to me. No distance between us. I wouldn’t mind if it was some hottie, but no.

Fair is actually a lot smaller than before, my kid enjoyed her day so mission accomplished. Farm animals and games kept her entertained, also strategically played an easier game to win a toy for her, gogo bday game! Market place was pretty disappointing, what I really wanted was a spin mop, but they weren't there this year, sigh.. until next year, hopefully.

My son bought some Beavertails and gave me one. So good.

Thinking back to yesterday, while watching the Drag show, I noticed that in the crowd of about a hundred, only three people had masks on. Me, my daughter, and one other woman.

Go to PNE to experience, "back to normal"................ for a price. I'm a little worried right now. Kind of like a day after a one night stand with a slut with no glove. It was hella good, butt....................

No more Vancity days for card holders right?

It's $10 to enter after 9PM, can't recall? We live fairly nearby and just wanna roll through for food.

i don't think they offer this anymore, not this year at least. it's advanced tickets only, so book online or by phone

great quality and its nice that the mop head is removeable so you can wash it. I've had it for over a year and have had zero issues and worked perfectly. I bought it off amazon for $23 in an open box and it arrived mint.

I’ve had mine for two years, too. It’s in great shape. Bought it for $19.97 at Superstore on Boxing Week. It’s still unopened. I bought a small Bissel steam cleaner thing and use that instead. You think your floors are clean, until you steam clean it. Anyway…………

Have the same one, although we paid $35 at CDN Tire :/
Works great, although the mop isn't as "fluffy" as it looks in pictures so if you aren't careful you can still bang the plastic into your baseboards/walls quite easily.

After not going for three years, it was nice to return.
The CinCin donuts I thought were pretty good although I can''t remember what the OG ones tasted like.
They had two BBQ stands including Gator. I deeply regret not trying the colossal onion... again.

Marketplace is smaller and weaker, animals were the same as they always were, Superdogs was entertaining. The lumberjack show was quite entertaining.

Only half of the games were open and were card only. The ride pass definitely wasn't worth getting with the Woody down, Corkscrew gone and Hell's Gate down. I don't think the Log Flume ride was running either.

Not sure if anybody noticed, but the donut people are not the same this year, traditionally it was from these guys https://thoselittledonuts.ca/

but due to covid I guess they decided not to take part in this year's PNE. It's a local company running the show at the moment.

But man, I feel old.... I remember back in the day of going to PNE, I would probably be posting about all the hot chicks in summer attire.. But, now.... I'm all about the marketplace and finding the best mop to mop my floor. SIGHHH

2 for 1 deal entry for today if anyone is interested. Details are in the link.

EDIT: So far the deal is still good as of now, even though the site mentions a limited number of tickets as of 8pm. I guess next Tuesday would look the same in terms of ticket sales.

Went today, was not normal PNE busy, definitely didn't seem as busy as I heard it was this past weekend. Nothing to report that hasn't already been said. Toned down version if the regular PNE. Smaller footprint means less shit but I've been going basically every year my entire life so really it's just tradition I go. Plus its also for my kids now too. One and done, wouldn't go again. Had I come for rides I would have left disappointed as all the good stuff wasn't even available including the log ride. Ah wells still good overall all things considered just come in with reasonable expectations.

Went with my daughter and another family last weekend.
Marketplace was maybe 1/3 of what it normally was. Nothing interesting, years past I could easily spend over an hour in the market alone. This time I was in and out in less than 15. It's currently inside the other half of the barn.
Somewhat disappointed the individual ride tickets were sold out by early afternoon. I just wanted to buy 4 tickets to take my daughter on a simple kiddie ride which didn't have a line-up.

Went last night with the wife. Used our free tickets from last years drive through donut event.
I was sitting on one of the benches eating my BBQ chicken and across from me was this girl eating her Dole Whhip and her boobs were popping out of her top. Hmmmm breastsssss...

Went into the animal area and saw a lot of Surrey special looking girls.

Definitely agree, lots of teeny bopper girls dressed like they are ready to party.
