Home Theatre - 70" TV / sitting distance

Decided to make a sports/movie/PS5 room downstairs with 3 recliners.

but... i just dont know if the TV is mounted too high...

here are measurements:

when sitting, the approx distance from your head to the TV is about 9FT.

The TV from floor to center of screen is about 62" and tilted downward.

TV size is 70". should it be lowered? am I gonna get headaches at this proximity?

YES i'll deal with cables later - this just went up today.

I feel like I would get a sore neck from that, unless those seats recline (but then you're looking at it at a sharp angle)

My preference is for my eyes to be level with about the bottom third of the screen, like being in a middle row of a cinema

yes they recline quite a bit so your head goes way back

I guess it comes down to personal preference.. You could mount it on the ceiling and lay flat on a bed if you wanted! KEKW

Centre of the TV should be mounted at a height where your eyes go naturally when sitting in the recliners basically shoot a beam out of your eyes at the wall when seated and that should be the middle of the TV.

That is generally quite low for most people but I looked into it quite a bit with my last TV and that was the consensus to reduce strain etc. I believe

Generally speaking your eyes should be about the centre line of the TV. But since your seats recline it could differ as it depends on your seating position.
