That’s pretty good if you get 7 years out of it

I have zero patience with anything so trying to carefully remove clips from bumpers and shit would drive me mental.

It gives me nightmares back to trying to tint my own windows on my truck. I ordered pre-cut sized sheets of tint and attempted to prep and tint my window. Almost instantly the tint folded over on itself and creased..yeap that’s fucked lol

He said this exactly.

5 years on areas with high wear and tear. It won’t peel off, but the leading edges might slowly unravel (this is why he needs to disassemble so he can protect the leading edges better and hide them in the bodywork). You can offset this wear by keeping the wrap clean and ceramic coated (included in his quotation)

After 7ish years the bigger areas might bubble or lose their tack if you park the car outside all the time. If you park it in a garage where its temperature controlled, it can last 10yrs. Even if it loses tack, you can try heating it up and seeing it lf it’ll stay or just rewrap that panel

Because this wrap doesnt use any glue, it’s considered a dry wrap. You don’t put it on a wet surface unlike 3m or Avery.

IÂ’m learning lots from this guy, but the proof is in the pudding I guess.

Does that mean you have to take the car this far apart again to remove it all in 5-7 years?

The factory has directions on exactly how it goes together though, and they're not undoing one time use fasteners.

no, he'll just rip it off with some heat and force. he says it'll come off in 1 whole piece with little to no disassembly required.

Not sure about those one time use fasteners though. Hopefully it wont make the damn thing squeak or rattle... cuz im going to lose it if it does.

Haha, well the factory seat wasn't very good. So I went out and got another one which is much better. My balls are fine, it's my ass that was getting sore.

Unless it doesn’t run, or it’s so rusty the seats going to fall through the floor while you’re driving, definitely keep that.

I think the biggest thing is high speed consistency after the tire start to give. Without wing you get into more interesting situations once the rear tires start to give (wing without splitter the car will understeer anything above 70kmh)

For the people hurting themselves in the ass with bike seats... get a pair of bike shorts.

Jaretron - just the person I was looking for.

I know you have an older Toyota Hi-Ace or equivalent van but I saw a newer (new'ish?) model at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park two weeks ago at the Chevy Grand prix with BC plates and I thought it was you!
