There were some analysis about it by commentators. Ferrari pretty much laid out the rest of the race at the early first pit stop as they no longer had enough med tire life to last until the end and put on softs to end the race. Literally shooting themselves in the foot.

There's a lot of conjecture, but now people are saying OP was premature/immature in his tweet. Even if everything he said is 100% true, he could have worded it a lot better, ie. "while I'm grateful for Alpine's offer, unfortunately at this time nothing is decided" or smth.

It was 100% directed by lawyers or agents not OP. If Piastri does not get a seat in F1 in his career it's on his representation not on him.

I don't blame Ricciardo for leaving Red Bull, it was becoming pretty clear the favored Max, who by his own right was getting better and better.

The Max of 2021 and 2022 would absolutely wipe the floor with Ricciardio.

Leaving Renault (who was on an upward trajectory at the time) for McLaren was a bit dumb, everyone massively underestimated Lando.

The FIA World Motor Sport Council has today approved power unit regulations set to come into effect for the 2026 season – with increased electrical power and 100% sustainable fuels two of the key aspects of the newly-approved rules.

The 2026 Formula 1 power units will maintain the current V6 internal combustion engine architecture, with the FIA setting out four key pillars of the new regulations:

Maintaining the spectacle – the 2026 power unit will have similar performance to the current designs, utilising high-power, high-revving V6 internal combustion engines and avoiding excessive performance differentiation to allow for improved raceability

Environmental sustainability – the 2026 power unit will include an increase in the deployment of electrical power to up to 50% and utilise a 100% sustainable fuel

Financial sustainability – financial regulations regarding the power units will reduce the overall costs for competitors whilst retaining the cutting-edge technological showcase that is at the core of Formula 1

Attractive to new power unit manufacturers – the regulations are intended to make it possible and attractive for newcomers to join the sport at a competitive level

The 2026 regulations will see the current Motor Generator Unit Heat, or MGU-H, element removed – while the power output on the power units’ Energy Recovery Systems will be increased to 350 kilowatts.

About 10 years from now, in 2032 or so, Formula 1 will essentially become Formula E. If not sooner.

Each car will have loudspeakers though, and will sound like the high-revving 17000rpm V12 engines from the early 2000s
