Steiner is getting so much love from fans with his epic quotes

JDął 04-20-2022 11:37 AM

For the first years of Gunther in F1 I thought he was unprofessional and kind of a joke. Now thanks to the last two seasons of Drive and some of his organic media soundbites I feel like he'd actually be one of the best team managers to work for if you were a switched on hard working individual. This latest quote is absolute fire that applies to every walk of life.

Hondaracer 04-20-2022 11:53 AM

Yea between Mazepins attitude and Schumacher just crashing non stop id like to see him deal with an actual competent driver lol, I’m sure he’d love them

Well he did have Magnussen and Grosjean two years ago.

Who are the bad team managers though? The current lot mostly seem pretty competent.

Wolff (the best IMO), Horner, Binotto are all high quality. Otmar, Jost, Zac, Krack all seem alright.

Still kinda mediocre though

But I guess Haas would have a hard time even attracting someone like Alonso etc.

All they need to not do this year, is end up dead last. Get some proper funding coming in.

Otmar got out of Aston Martin at the right time. Looks like Lawrence Stroll is taking a page out if the Francesco Aquilini Playbook of Meddling Owners.

Listen to Chris Harris interview Jost on his podcast

He's basically doing the Williams job for fun at this point in his illustrious career.

It's too bad they're so far gone - going to take some time to catch up.

Honestly I want to like Stroll given he’s Canadian etc. but it just seems like he’s too dumb to ever realize his full driving potential. Obviously to reach F1 you have to have some form of intelligence even with a owner father. However, every time I see him in an interview he kind of gives off that Buffoon vibe.

A big thing to watch was when him and Seb were given all those different mclarens to drive and seb figured them out relatively quickly whereas Lance just struggled to understand the car

I don't think any are particularly bad, my thoughts were simply on Steiner when he entered the championship and how he presented himself (or was presented in media). However, like Producer said Capito doesn't seem to be in there with much grit and enthusiasm and isn't doing much for Williams. It may be too early to tell if he can turn them around, but their fall from competitiveness is hard and sad to watch. They're abysmal.

But he hired him back......

DavidNguyen 04-20-2022 11:13 PM

None of the F1 drivers like K. MAG. I'm rooting for Haas.i like to see a bottom team rise

StylinRed 04-20-2022 11:25 PM

Word is if Schumi out drives kmag the rest of the season he's got a seat at ferrari guaranteed, tho I can't see them putting sainz out simply for the love of Michael and an okay Mick

sonick 04-21-2022 09:08 AM

Sainz just signed a multi year extension...

StylinRed 04-21-2022 04:36 PM

Lol aye saw that right after guess that answers that, mick will be 25 by the time Sainzs contract ends, guess he has til then to prove himself

JDął 04-21-2022 08:21 PM

Schumacher still has a lot of development to do and needs some proven and consistent results. IF that happens I see him going up to a mid-level team like McLaren or Toro Rosso before he gets on with one of the top three. If Leclerc and Sainz continue to put Ferrari on the podium through their 2024 contracts I can't see Ferrari moving on from one driver for unproven nepotism.

Great68 04-21-2022 09:00 PM

Unfortunately, Mick will never be Michael level.

TypeRNammer 04-22-2022 09:55 AM

Qualifying highlights are now up on YouTube.

Bottas once again out qualifying both the Mercedes :lawl:

I think this is going to be one crazy sprint race

https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/form...race-cancelled

Hondaracer 04-22-2022 05:44 PM

What’s there to complain about? It’s silent! Lol ffs..

I’ve got like $500 of tickets to cancelled events now..
