Allegedly the same guy: A 20-year-old Windsor man faces numerous charges after officers on downtown bike patrol stopped a silver BMW and found suspected coke, codeine, Molly, weed, and open alcohol inside.

Found:
13 long guns
handguns
multiple sets of body armour
a machete
a large quantity of ammunition
high capacity magazines

Was in the sunshine coast over the weekend, noticed a ton of supporters.

I think what really bothers me is that this movement has co-opted the Canadian flag and national pride as a symbol of support for 'freedom'.

What the ignorant Flu Trucks Klan don't realize in the bigger scheme of things is the harm that they are doing to the Canadian economy and likely to their own employment.

-listening to Turd's and deputy PM Freeland's speeches:

-increasing Canadian government scrutiny of terrorist financing, including digital currency, crowd funding platforms.

Crowd funding platforms must report suspicious transactions to the Canadian government agency FINTRAC.

Government can freeze bank accounts without a court order. -prevent funding for the truck protesters.

Immediate licence suspension and corporate bank account freezing for truckers in the protest.

Ambassador Bridge has about 390 million dollars worth of trade each day between Canada and US, as a transport route.

Deputy PM Freeland helps Turd lay down the hammer against the trucker protesters:

Freeland: "Illegal protests cannot stand, in the way of peace, order, and good government"

"This CANNOT stand".

-more information about the Emergencies Act:

The Emergencies Act replaced the War Measures Act in 1988 and is more limited in what it can do, including requiring parliamentary oversight. All measures invoked under the Emergencies Act must also comply with the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Turd mentioned that there are no plans to deploy the military.

Turd says the scope of these measures will be “time-limited, geographically targeted, as well as reasonable and proportionate to the threats they are meant to address.”

They realize it, they just don't care. This has nothing to do with freedom or mandates anymore. They are just using that as buzz to get the ignorant to latch on to their "movement" and manipulate others into believing they are far more supported than they are.
They are limiting the freedoms of normal Canadians to work and feel comfortable in their own communities.
"freedom for me, not for you" should be the motto.

Finally, "the act also will enable the RCMP to enforce municipal bylaws and provincial offences where required."

Fianlly RCMP can takeover and enforce what Sloly and Ottawa Police Services failed to do.

Trudeau invokes Emergencies Act (fucking finally).
https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/trud...ests-1.5780283

New powers through the act:
- Enabling the RCMP to have the jurisdiction to enforce municipal bylaws and provincial offenses;
- Prohibiting taking part in a public assembly where it’s considered a breach of peace and goes beyond lawful protest;
- Regulating the use of certain property, including goods used in blockades;
- Designating secure and protected places and infrastructure that are critical to the economy such as border crossings and airports;
- Compelling those capable to render essential services, so in this case ordering tow truck drivers to move vehicles blocking roads;
- Authorizing financial institutions to essentially stop the financing efforts, including immediately freezing or suspending affiliated accounts without a court order; and
- Imposing fines of up to $5,000 or imprisonment of up to five years on those who breach any of the above orders.

He did state he's not calling in the military against Canadian citizens, and that the scope of this act is both targeted and limited, and expires in 30 days - but of course the crazies are foaming calling this the first step to authoritarianism.

There's also a theory (which I think isn't too wrong) that during the Biden/Trudeau call, Biden essentially told Trudeau "Listen, war is imminent in Ukraine, fix this shit NOW."

Did you watch the news conference?

Written and spoken often don't read the same way.

He was extremely careful to reiterate over and over that he was only using it to give police more power to fine people and remove illegal blockades and that it would only remain in place for the time required and be geographically targeted, not a national use of it.

I'm all for it if it allows the RCMP to get rid of these dumb fuckers.

He was overly descriptive to a point of painful about how little of the actual act he was invoking.

100 percent.

Yes, Trudeau made it crystal clear that the military are not involved in removing these protesters. Additional power and resources are given to the local police and RCMP.

Turd is certainly not calling a bunch of mercenaries, Rambo, to clean house on these Flu Truck Klan. That would be just a Hollywood movie scenario.

I did, I still disagree

Even if we dislike these protesters, we should respect their right to protest, even if it's a prolonged one, this is overboard.

Did he, or anyone, even try to speak with their reps? (do they have reps? Lol) all I've seen from him is wagging his finger at them from the get go. I'm sure if someone offered an ear to them we'd see most of them leave

How is it a legitimate protest anymore when you’re blocking ports of entry, harassing people and forcing businesses and companies to shut down? Nevermind the fact they have no discernible message besides “Fuck Trudeau / the government”

They’re hurting upstanding citizens of this country with their actions. If you worked at auto manufacturer or had a coffee shop in downtown Ottawa or lived in downtown Ottawa are you still saying these people have rights to fuck up your life?l cuz they hate Trudeau?

That’s all this is… it’s not a freedom or even an antivax protest… it’s a fuck lefties march waving a Canadian flag which is extra galling since it promotes the idea these people somehow represent Canadian values.. Why should he give them an ear?
