It's got like 50lbs of body kit but yes, home link is too heavy.

Badhobz 01-03-2023 08:47 AM

can you retrofit homelink? should be a easy peasy mod to do on any car.

roastpuff 01-03-2023 08:50 AM

Holy shit congrats man! Excited to see it at the next RS Stock & Noob meet. Love the colour!

Did it for my 2009 Rav4 when I had it. I bought a used Homelink unit, cut holes (based on the template that I printed from Homelink website) into roof liner and tapped it to the wires for the lights in the overhead sunglasses area. Think it cost me like $20.

However, simpler way is to just buy the Toyota Homelink mirror and have them install it.

320icar 01-03-2023 08:36 PM

Just find Sunvisors that have home link and run a power wire up to the headliner. Not the end of the world if someone wants it

Curbers and flippers are marginally less garbage human beings than thieves.

Fuck em so hard

twitchyzero 01-06-2023 10:48 PM

wouldn't exist if there wasn't a market enabling them

They'll always be rich stupid people who don't give AF, and then us.

https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a4...-dyno-numbers/

Here are the numbers:
Quote:

258.66 hp at 6320 rpm, and 279.38 lb-ft of torque from a DynoJet dynamometer.
But funny how they're trying to apply hypothetical drivetrain loss to pad numbers at crank. 345hp?? lol
Kind of arbitrary imo.

320icar 01-13-2023 09:29 AM

I doubt it. 25% loss on a modern car is at least 10% too high. That being said modern cars seem to dislike dyno’s and vary wildly.

teggy604 01-13-2023 10:49 AM

I like how the magazine trying to boost the GR ego with these numbers.

I remembered my B16A2 turbo making those numbers 20 yrs ago. Not to mention any K series with simple bolt ons can hit 230-50whp.

Badhobz 01-13-2023 11:03 AM

I’m still worried about this constant high boost pressures. I doubt this has the same longevity as older Toyota engines. This is one stressed little 3 banger.

twitchyzero 01-13-2023 12:35 PM

100hp+/cyl in a toyota no less
what a time
now crank them out and offer crate option

Wonder how it will handle a nice long track session. Would overheating be an issue as with most boosted application.

So it's been a month since you've got the car. How is your experience with it so far?

Bender Unit 02-01-2023 06:00 PM

650km impression -
Shifter is Solid. not Honda Shifting good, but still good. Postion is low for my taste.
Steering Wheel is bit too thin/narrow. but I dont' see anyone else complaining. Must be my personal problem.
AWD system is great. It saved me yesterday morning from 2 incidents.
interior is crap for $45,000 car. I was disappointed. striaght out form a Corolla HB.
Driver seat/bolter was average. It doesn't grab you like it should for a sportier vehicle.

car only has 650km. I hasn't rev pass 4500rpm yet, still Breaking-in.

No complaints about not having an arm rest?

Not a deal breaker.
Don't even notice no arm rest when driving

westopher 02-04-2023 11:12 AM

Removing the arm rest from my e36 was one of the first things I did. I don't understand the use for them. My hands are on the steering wheel.

If we drove automatics maybe we’d use em. But otherwise no
