There's not enough cooling for the AWD system as the brains manages the thermals of the whole system. On a extended track session it will engage the rear less and less as it needs to cope with the heat. The verdict is - it's still an amazing car, and one coming from Toyota at that. It's just not that super hero I was expecting. |

Of course it won't be drifty, it's an AWD car with pretty grippy tires lol. Do they have any documentation for how they're saying the system works? Either way it doesn't really matter much to me because even if it is FWD initially it's going to react far quicker than I'd ever be able to notice, especially on the street. |
All these test/review is on the tarmac. I want to see the GR Corolla in its element. Which is dirt/gravel/snow. That is where the drivetrain should really shine. |
A map of how many cars each dealer has gotten. plotly-logomark Also a car with a blown engine. Seems to be a BC car. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/1HBX0ZXA8fU |
Squamish lied to me! They said they weren't going to be getting one at all. |
One of the cars allocated to Vernon Toyota is a Morizo apparently, so I guess someone around here was selected for it. |
Wow! I wonder who’s sushi did he have to roll to get one of those allocations!? |
Morizo sucks, doesn't even have roll down windows in the back. Almost a useless car unless you just want it to re-sell in a couple years I guess to some weirdo collector. Circuit is where it's at... fondly remember the days when I naively plunked down a deposit and said "I only want one if it's a Circuit edition" not realizing that was never ever going to happen lol |
imo the Core is where it's at. The Circuit is $9k more for an (again imo) ugly cosmetic package. But for anyone who does like it guys are already swapping the grille and hood for pretty cheap so you're paying for a roof skin and seat fabric. I'm pretty sure you could vinyl wrap the roof and get the seats reupholstered in whatever you want for a lot less than $8k. The Morizo is kinda neat but I agree kind of useless and not really different enough from the Core/Circuit to really be *that* special. Either way it's rare enough that it may as well not even exist lol. |
You're right, in Canada the Core is cool because it comes with the perf pack... I am so used to all the people in the USA bitching about base Cores that don't even have the perf pack installed and the dealer still want a $5-8k markup lol |

Core is where it's at for Canada I think, just learnt that the Curcuit in Canada does not get the big wang... I mean the hood and CF roof is cool... but if I am paying nine grand over, at least get me the full thing.... Now it looks like the core ed in Canada will be the one to get for sure! But even at MSRP, the car is $1K per month... not counting insurnace and gas..... inflation? Dang.... lol |

Spotted in Ontario Was the first one my local dealer sold. I am next in line. https://i.ibb.co/w7G7Ws7/toy.jpg |

Is that a good price ? I don’t even know anymore. When spicy corollas are 60k my 170k ratrolla seems like a good deal. |
MSRP is 48k so I'm thinking no. It's impressive that someone already put 20k on it though. |
lol 59k for a used car. That's M2 money. |
Went to see it. Dealer claims its the lowest priced used one in Canada. It also has 21000 kms on it. The guy drove it to Ontario and back. The guy also have a new type r and a new porsche gt4. |
If you're next in line at your dealer then I'd rather wait. |
Can't you just get some sti for like $30gs and have $35k for mods, rebuild the motor or a m3/m5 on the side. |
After all the reviews I’d take a CTR over this high strung Corolla. Good for Toyota for making it but everyone seems to say the new CTR is quite a bit better. Bender ? Bender !!!! Need your opinion since you got both. |
I recall he made a post where he felt the CTR was way better than the CGR in so many ways. Good attempt for Toyota but Honda takes the cake. |

Driving an FK8 in SoCal? Literally heaven. Driving an FK8 in Vancouver? Holy shit the wheel hop. The FK8/FL5 is defs better on track but the GR makes a compelling all rounder argument (without popping engines like the Focus RS/STI) |
