I know the whole market is thin right now but those seem like a bit of a unicorn too. I can only find 5 in the whole province, all of them are AWD (I'd prefer to try RWD), only 1 is manual and it's a 2018 with 60k for $52k.
You might've missed the boat on these - there were a few 2018 6MT 340i xDrives for sale last year with 35-40k at around the same price - they probably were all off-lease models from the dealer with one prior owner.
Try looking a 2018+ 6MT M240i if you can get away with a 2-door. Those were around $50k last year with around 20-30k on the odometer.

It is a very rare car, F30 340i was in production for 2 years I think as they rolled out the B58 onto the older platforms. With MPP1 and MPP2 which put the car at I think 340hp it was around $70k new for a manual RWD, and most of these came in AWD. The saving grace of it is they do still offer it in manual in AWD for the F30.
There is also a special edition called M performance edition which had some different bumpers and side skirts and some non-standard pallete colours (335i were Laguna Seca Blue and some orange, the 340i came in Fashion Grey and Pure Blue). That one is AWD only for 340i but came in auto and manual.
Maybe you would consider a F80 M3 instead? People who own the 340 are probably holding on to them as 1) you can't get a G20 M340 in manual, 2) the new BMWs are ridiculously expensive - a loaded M340 is in the 80 something range. If you don't mind rolling the dice a little, the F30 335i is probably easier to find. A later model in 2015-2016 should still be decent.
I know all this because I was looking at 2 different 2015 335i M performance edition, both RWD and manual. Which led me to looking at ordering a new 340i when I couldn't get my hands on them. Which then ended up with me ordering a new F80 M3.

Drove a MPP2 F30 340ixDrive, I felt like the F80 drove smaller and less floaty.
Personally, I'd go straight for the F80.

The F80 started at 72k while the F30 topped out at 72k. Not everyone can shell out an extra 20k at this price point. They did tier the pricing really well on this car. Makes you think "what's another $200 a month". And it snowballs.
I do like the look of those but I'm doubting those will land in budget. Again there aren't a lot for sale but one with 130k is listed at $47k and one with 85k is $75k.

Friend of mine has a 2018 340i M Performance Pack and it came with a bunch of carbon exterior and interior parts, Nappa leather covered dash and interior, and M Performance exhaust. That thing rips in sports mode. It would make a nice daily. Plus it has good visual appeal compared to the new ones.

Y'all see the Laguna Seca Blue one with the OR/GINAL sticker on it?
That colour is so sick... the wheels are too tucked for my liking but nitpicking bigtime here
It's just springs, EMD does go low so just swap them back to stock and or put Ohlins in. Stock suspension is kind of crappy. Twilight Purple is rare too and I don't think there's one in Vancouver.
Fuck no. Press cars ? Why bother having an already high strung car, get utterly destroyed by idiots and then you take it for the same price as a non press car.
That sounds stupid to me.
Most of the press cars in the USA are crushed afterwards as they are usually shit bagged to death by the end of their press tour. This is according to Jason camisa who just did a GR Corolla review on Hagerty
My 09 R8 was a car was a loaner for 2009 Toronto film festival. Given out to celebrities to drive. Dealer told me Brad Pit drove it. That cars been good so i am taking this one. Will be picking it up on Wednesday. can't wait!!!
