I appreciate the heads up. Long story short I'm still on the fence about getting one. Looks like the white one has 2k and the red one has 4k. 9.99% financing because they're used lol.

Yah after I saw 1 in person I dropped my deposit... it's just not worth the $ up here in my opinion... rather get a Golf R for that money if I had to have a 4 door hatch with 4WD

Are they still being marked up with accessories such as $1000 wheel locks and $2500 PPF?

Can’t get one…. Unlike the stupid ratrolla GR they really are completely sold out.

Only option is to buy a type S and justify the extra 10k for worse build quality, and arguably worse looks

After the test drive I pulled my deposit from Kelowna Toyota because they were being dicks and then started lying about the allocation process. I'm still on the list at another dealer that's been a lot better to deal with though.

The Circuit is purely a cosmetics package so you don't *need* that part but the big benefit over the Supra is 4 doors.

Makes 80 more HP than the 6.6 liter V8 my dad had in his Trans Am. To me the 3 cylinder is a flex.

Bruh 1978 =/= 2024 for nearly anything, especially not technology.

Spoiler!

https://media.toyota.ca/en/releases/...ission-op.html

Spoiler!

Lot of news this past week. LBX Morizo RR will be the first 6MT in a Lexus in well over a decade (won't be coming to NA), and MY25 GRC is getting an 8-speed auto

____________________________

EDIT 10/15: More news about the MY25 GRCs. Embargo for the automatic review drops October 23rd

https://media.toyota.ca/en/releases/...ds-new-di.html

Relevant bullet points:

- Toyota GAZOO Racing Available 8-Speed Direct Automatic Transmission Added Along with the 6-Speed Manual Transmission
- 2025 GR Corolla Increases Engine Torque to 295 lb.-ft. (MY23 Morizo tune)
- Launch Control Adopted for Powerful Acceleration
- Suspension Enhancements Add Stability When Cornering
- Redesigned Front Bumper for Added Cooling Components and Aerodynamics

Canadian MSRP for the MT is $47,915/$55,917 for MT + premium package. AT is $58,137

Only 1 trim for MY25, with an optional premium package for the MT($8,000), Premium package comes standard on the AT.

The premium package is basically the circuit goodies added back.

Premium package adds:

18" Matte Black Alloy Wheels (BBS forged wheels are no longer available)
8" Toyota Multimedia w/ Service/Safety Connect (up to 10yr trial), Remote/Drive Connect (3yr trial)
Wireless Charger
Head-Up Display
8-speaker JBL Audio System
GR Sport Fabric With Suede Trim
Front and Rear Parking Sensors
Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control
Carbon Fiber Roof
Black Painted Grille
Bulged Hood
Sub-radiator

Overall, seems like the full kit for a car dad who wants an auto hot hatch daily, but $60k+ for a Corolla is steep, even if it is hand built by Toyota's skilled Takumi in the Motomachi plant. A better business case would be a Morizo RR version of the Lexus UX for 7-8 grand more.

As of now, the MY24 circuit in blue blame is a 1 year only colour, and the last year to come with BBS forged wheels.

They've changed the torque split settings. You can no longer hard select 30:70 like you could in MY23/24 GRCs

CVT WRX has a significantly lower price advantage over the auto GRC, so I don't think there's much of a threat there.
