Close call............. blocked punt. Winnipeg recovers, but penalty of roughing the kicker gives ball back to Lions. Rourke is not right in this weather. Almost intercepted. Lions down 0-6.
WTF????????? Lions recover a fumble off a Flintoff kickoff.
Lions at the 5 of Blue Bombers.
Pipkin TD!!!!! That guy just ploughed through the entire Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Lions up 7-6.
All I can say is, "WAH!!!!!!!!!"

Missed convert kick return all the way back into Blue Bombers end zone. Only 2 points......... sad, but better than nothing.
Lions still in it, but they're running out of time.
That Flintoff worth every penny.
BC running game not doing well today. In a game that is won or lost with the running game.

Had a chance till the very end........... the crowd made a big difference. Should'a, could'a, might'a............ good season.
More than a few missed opportunities. The Bombers are just way too good. They better win it all. Toronto. Nuff said.

On that play where he ran it all the way, should he have stopped and gone down at the 1 yd line and let the offense take over and run it in? I mean the avg fan don't know the rules but a player should.. would require pretty high CFL IQ though.

I think it being a missed convert, the scoring is different. If he stops running at any point, the opposition just ends up kicking the ball back to BC from the kickoff position. 2 points is lost and that's it.
If it were a missed field goal or punt, it would be different. That's my take on it.
and, yes, it was a close game in that BC dropped the ball many times. 2 of the dropped balls were close interceptions. The outcome might have been different. Winnipeg had better hand warmers than the Lions, I'm afraid. Got to use Zippo hand warmers and not cheap, made in chinar crap, gulolol. Actually, Zippo hand warmers are made in chinar, hee hee, hue hue, pew pew. I know, 'cause I have one.
BTW, those chemical hand warmers you buy from Costco are pretty darn good. Put a few of those in each kangaroo pouch and you're good to go.
At the end of the game, Rourke looked composed, but soon after, when Burnham approached him for a hug, dude just completely fell apart. I felt so badly for him. He's young and he's just starting out. He'll be back with a vengeance. Roar, Lions, ROAR!!!!!

Talk of whether Rourke will be coming back ... is he a free agent, or will he be poached by NFL?

NFL for sure, at first, but when that doesn’t work out, there’s always the CFL as a backup plan. I’m pretty sure it’ll be as a Lion.

Talk about home field advantage holy shit!
Hope Rourke gets a shot in the NFL or XFL where he can make some money. Otherwise it would be great for Lions fans if he came back

During his Let's go podcast on Monday, Tom Brady talked about his next step. For everybody's surprise, he wants to play in another league as he has a 4-0 record when playing outside the United States.
"I'm hoping I can get to go to play in the CFL at some point and really see what I can make of myself up there," Brady said. "Because things have gone pretty well outside the country."

There are only a few examples of QB's over the last 50 years, Warren Moon being the most obvious one, Doug Flutie got to go back to the NFL and play for Buffalo after dominating the CFL from 90 to 97 but even he lost his job the second the starter was available even though Flutie was the better player. When teams use draft picks on QB's they are very hesitant to bench them in favour of free agent signings.
Remember when Casey Printers went to the Chiefs? He was the 2nd best QB on that team but he got cut in favour of Huard, an NFL journeyman with arguably less skill.
Hope he goes there and proves me wrong and lands somewhere, financially he'll be so much better off and the Riders won't have to face him 2-3 times a year.

To see Brady in the CFL would be absolutely bizarre.
That makes no literal sense.

For the love of Jenny McCarthy's............. assets. Totally forgot about the Grey Cup game.
Missed the half time show and the anthem.......... did not record the game. Maybe reruns later.
Great........... 11:00 pm
Wow, 102 yard return for a TD!!!
I hope Winnipeg wins the Grey Cup. The city really needs something to be positive about.

What a Grey Cup game!
Blocked field goal! Argos are gonna win the Grey Cup!
It looked like Toronto almost shot themselves in the foot when the Argos got a penalty for face mask on the Bombers QB.
Congrats to the Argos! Grey Cup champs.
The Bombers dynasty is over.
Big game TDs from A.J. Ouellette.
-love his honesty when he answered the field reporter’s question:
“I’m so fuckin proud of this team”

1 blocked FG by WPG, 1 tip by Toronto to save the game. Bravo ... congrats to Argos! Great finish, so much drama in the last 2 mins.
Did Toronto finish with backup QB? I just started watching in the middle of the 4th Q

Toronto is a city of champions. A handful of Stanley Cups, Grey Cups, and two freaking World Series (back to back). Oh, shit. Forgot about the Raptors. NBA Champions.
So solly, Winnipeg. No three peat for you.

I'm really liking what the new owner has done. Wow, he has other owners around the league paying attention.
Tailgate parties are back and it's cool to be a Lions fan again.
Roar, Lions, ROAR!!!!!!!!
The only buzz kill for me watching the games on television is TSN. Nuff said.
At least they're broadcasting CFL games, so thankful for that, I guess.

Took my boy to the Famfest game a couple of weeks ago and the new owner was having a blast in the suite behind us dancing and just having a great time.
Awesome to see.

Stuff like that trickles down................
Like I've said before. Win or lose, the Lions are a great organization and team to follow and believe in.
