A bit of an unusual sale here - please read carefully.
Selling my dad's 2009 Audi A4 Avant 2.0T for him. He's owned it since new. He's got a new Tucson Plug In arriving in 1-2 weeks. I thought I'd post this here in case someone is interested in buying it privately - it's a great car and would make a solid winter beater - and it'd net my parents a little bit extra vs. dealer trade value.
They're not interested in Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace randoms, so this is an RS/RS Friend & Family deal
only. In addition, my parents aren't accustomed to selling cars privately (I'd do it but am unfortunately in Toronto for the near future), so looking for a real easy sale experience for them (i.e. someone who can walk them through the transfer a bit at the AutoPlan broker).
You can come test drive the car whenever my dad's around. Located in Coquitlam. Actual sale/transfer of the car will be after my dad takes delivery of the Tucson, as he needs it in the meantime. I'll ask for a small deposit ($100) to hold it.
Asking $2,500. It's priced at the lowest price it makes sense for us to sell it vs. just trading it in, so the price is firm, sorry.
RS members, please do correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's a great price for a car that's got plenty of life left in it yet for the right owner. If no takers it'll be traded in.

The bad:
- 269,494 km and counting; lots of Vancouver - Kelowna trips and a few Vancouver - San Francisco trips in there too
- 3 minor fender benders: 1 rear bumper, 1 rear tailgate, and 1 front quarter panel and headlight
- 1 tire will require replacement within the next 10K kms
- Front seat bolsters in poor condition
- Intermittent CEL: P0420 "Catalyst System Efficiency" - hasn't affected driving, idles fine, O2 sensor tested and is fine
- So much brake dust on the alloys we've given up
- Driver's side power lock locks correctly ~75% of the time - likely a weak actuator or gunked up mechanism - easy to tell when it doesn't lock as the alarm doesn't chirp
- Probably needs new front brake pads this summer
The good:
- Great to drive - everything feels tight, transmission is quick and smooth
- Quattro: great in the snow - on Nordman WRs
- No oil consumption issues - it's had the Stage 2 recall fix done and has been perfect since
- Bang & Olufsen sound system is very, very good
- Minimal interior rattles
- AC blows strong, seat heaters working great
- Averages 7.5-8.0 L/100 km commuting between Coquitlam-Vancouver
- It's an Avant - wagons are cool right?
- Panoramic sunroof
- Oil changed religiously with OEM synthetic
