Giving up tracking cars starting this year. Focusing soley on tracking bikes for the next few years. Do it while you're still young. Cars can wait. Why chase that ever inflating 80+k car, when you can just get a 600 supersport for under 10k, and use the 70K on other investments? That 911 will still be there when you're 50 or 60. Or just wait it out and grab it on a dip. |
Bikes are fun and are whatever you make of it on the street, you can choose to push it or just enjoy the freedom and occasional burst of speed... Tracking bikes gets very not fun very fast... basically zero fun if you make ANY mistake which is bound to happen if you're always pushing it. This is not true of tracking cars. |

I don't want to get crippled by a bike. I don't know a single person that has not had life altering accidents on a bike. |

This is so true, Vancouver is such a mystery for me. You going around and everyone seems like they're balling, this forum is an example of that. Try posting something for free on FB marketplace though. I recently posted an older couch that we need to get rid of from my mom's place as she's moving into a retirement home, posted the couch for free, pickup only, I literally received 40+ messages in 4-5 hours. My gf will sometimes post things like a cheap ass plastic strainer for free and she'll get people willing to take a bus and commute from places like Maple Ridge on a rainy winter night to come get it. This city is a mystery to me. |

A very good example of this that everyone here should understand. Some one posts Shell 94 for the price of 87 at Canada Way and Willlingdon. I'm at Victoria and Marine, is it really worth it for me to go save $10 on cheap 94? It'll take me 20mins to get there and back, and the gas involved. Ultimately money wise it's only a few bucks saved but my time is worth more than that. Wife would find things actually on FB Marketplace and I would tell her it's not worth it for me to go get it. We are short on time dealing with a kid at home already AND I need to spend $5 in gas to get something I can have shipped and new. |

You'd drive by on the way home and see a 30+ Min line-up to save 6 cents * 55L tanks = $3.30 saved. |
Is giving things away on FB marketplace even worth it unless it's going to cost you money to dispose? I either throw it out or have a minimum cost because of time + gas. |

A friend of mine has a BIG Harley, and ecen just driving behind him on the highway has me shit scared watching people not see him etc. the risk isn’t worth the reward imo. It’s kind of like how all rich guys want to get their pilots licence. Unless it’s an actual passion the risk to do somthing somewhat frivolous isn’t worth dieing or becoming seriously injured to the point where you can no longer enjoy what you already had lol |
"Love motorsport"..... but "would love a Harley" You are a complex man Mr. Hondaracer |
When I say Motorsport I’m saying moreso like Snowmobiles, etc. I have no interest in tracking anything these days. If I want an experience I’ll go to exotics racing or somthing and drive a turbo S or a 458. I’m never gonna be the one with a midlife crisis who buys a miata lol |

Saves me the effort of renting a truck and taking it to the dump or calling some junk guys, plus some young students get a fairly decent couch for free. Win win. |
I like giving stuff away for free on CL and stuff... I just hate it when a person shows up who is obviously re-selling it or something... but man prepare for your inbox to get absolutely BOMBED every time |
The best experience was when I posted a free rear-projection TV to be given away, some guy emails me to tell me he wants it, shows up and asks me to pay him to haul it away. My neighbour next door came and took it. #craigslistofvancouver :fuckthatshit: |

So i was driving to work downtown and this "homeless" came up to my window with a sign that says "help me, im homeless, trying to just get some food" or whatever. I read his sign, and he called out to me "Hey buddy, can you spare some money?" I said "i got no change man, and i dont even think i have cash today" (not very chinese of me is it?) buddy guy's like "THATS OKAY!" and whips out his Iphone 12/or 13pro and says you can just transfer it to me... whats your phone number!? WHAT. THE.FUCK. if you see this cool guy on cambie and marine, give him a thumbs up. We are 1 step away from having QR code beggars https://www.financialexpress.com/wp-...na-beggars.jpg |
That was me. I also take Visa and Mastercard. No AMEX. |
|
AMEX merchant rates aren't as wild as they used to be so the acceptance is a lot better these days. Having said that, I was a total chump when I went to China. Nobody there accepted cash and they laughed at me like a country bumpkin. WeChat or AliPay only. I had neither. It sucked being poor. In China. |
I got banned from WeChat after I sent a friend an anti-China meme. Said I violated user policies, so now I can’t add any friends or like any moments… or pay for any Shenzhen mistresses |
no prostitutes for you! next ! https://64.media.tumblr.com/7cbfae10...1aoo3_400.gifv |
