Yea it’s not looking good for the leafs into the playoffs
It’s a bit of a different scenario in 2011 compared to these days as there are so many good teams but like, in 2011 the Canucks were consistently dominant throughout the season, and there were extended periods of sustained pressure and control in almost every game they played and they still couldn’t win it
To think the Leafs playing like they so often do, can beat two or THREE of a tampa, NY, Boston, good luck.

Sometimes all it takes is a big run though, not every team that wins it all is the one that dominated all season. Especially when injuries can mess things up for those teams
Just saw the boxscore ... Leafs let in 2 SHG on the same PP ...

Why do they keep coming out in droves and pay premium price for tickets to see their team constantly lose here in Rogers Arena ???!! If there was ever an appropriate time to throw a jersey onto the ice, a Leafs fan should have done it tonight !!
Even ex Leafs are not doing well, Campbell in Edmonton shat the bed losing 7-5 to Winnipeg!

what makes it funny is that the Leafs are actually significantly better than us in almost every measurable way. they still got pounded though lol.
great game all around. Tavares getting flattened (twice), 2 shorties on ONE PK, 4th line goal, and Demko showing us he's still an excellent goalie. I wonder how Matthews' knee is after that shot by Juulsen. I don't watch the Leafs during the regular season at all but you can still see shades of the mental weaknesses they show in the playoffs regularly.
This was the most of any hockey game I watched all year. That 2 SHG sequence was pretty sweet and the camera panning to the leafs fan with the face painted after was also great.

lol, maybe he really thought it was the playoffs.
Friendly giant doesn't know his own strength. Was pretty funny watching McCabe get spun upside down in that fight.

Canucks did make playoffs getting eliminated first round.. everyone bitched about that too. There's no pleasing the fans...if the Canucks had beat Bruins, everyone would complained how it took 7 games.

Been following the Canucks since 1965. WHL out of the Forum.
Watched or listened to every freaking game since then. CKNW on radio back then. NHL on CBC HNIC. No other coverage back then. No Sportsnet, TSN, etc. I remember opening day of NHL debut. Yeah, I know all about the canucks, sadly.
Canuck fans know how close the team got to winning it all, but everyone everywhere else, don't remember number two's of the world (Senekot ad, gulolol).
