Professionally the dealership should just mention in the comments, please contact so and so or call so and so, to rectify any issues/concerns. Only idiots would threaten publicly and write such a comment for everyone to see.

It's like what is their legal team really going to sue for? The buyer for talking about shady work practice? It seems like this day and age, still get idiots like these that still throw the litigation books against people like candy. Is it worth their time? No. Will they lose business? Likely not. If they can't accept any negativity, then don't even have a google review up.

That's not how Google My Business/Places work. Even if they didn't make their GMB profile, anyone else could make it for them and make reviews on it. The only difference is that by taking ownership of the GMB via sending in business docs, it allows a business to use GMB as a sales tool (posts, images, Q&A, etc).

Although my experience with Signature Mazda isn't as severe, its still a negative one.

1) Back in 2018, I went with my wife to look for a Mazda 3 hatchback. Walked in, no one came and greeted us. We asked front desk for a salesperson to come, waited for 5-10mins, no one showed up. Out the door we left. Went to Freeway Mazda in Surrey instead and were greeted with much better customer service and happily got our car there.

2) fast forward to this year. We wanted to get a SUV this time and wanted to check out the CX-5. Since we were already in Richmond, might as well go in and see. Same thing. No one came to greet us. Off we went back to Freeway Mazda again. In the end, we got a CRV instead.

Maybe I should post my experiences with them on Google so they can threaten me with their BS law suite as well.

I bought my Mazda 3 there before COVID and it was a pretty good experience other than the fact the salesperson drilled the license plate into the diffuser instead of the marked holes like an idiot. Took me a while to realize why my license plate looked off until I saw another one on the street.

I then took my car there for a scheduled servicing and I'm pretty certain someone there took my rear dashcam from the center armrest storage area that I was planning to install (ran out of time to do the rear). I haven't gone back since due to the soured experience and since then haven't left anything in my car during any type of servicing.

I go to Metrotown Mazda now for my servicing and any random OEM parts. They got a really nice lady working at the reception there.

I go to Metrotown Mazda too. I bought my car there and have that zoom pass so I take my car there for regular services. I know who you're talking about at the receptionist. She's friendly and never gives me an attitude. Can't say the same about some other dealerships.

I bought my car from Signature back in '09.

They offered me free first service, so I took them up on it. Arranged them also to do a TSB on the front cowl seal while they were at it.

Picked up the car and when I got home noticed oil was overfilled by nearly a full litre, and the paint in areas around the the old seal was all chipped (some idiot just pried against the seal and paint with a flathead to get the clips off)

Never again.

Now the parts guys at Pacific Mazda here on the island, those guys are solid.

Mans grossed my friend's mum by like 8k.
Somehow they worked the numbers and boosted the lease residual value by 8k as well?
Former Vancouver Kia mans be running the show there

It makes me wonder what kind of proof they have that Francis got his friends to post negative reviews.

If you are just getting a car from them, there should be nothing wrong with that. At the end of the day, they are still going to sell you the car, at the price that you have already agreed to.

If you are concerned about the quality of their service, just take your servicing to another dealership.

Just make sure to tell them where they can shove their 'VIP' plan.

I tried, but that was a non-negotiable. They also tried to pass off a dealership fee as an "Excise Tax". I had to argue to get reimbursed for that. Buyers beware.

That was after my parents were "forced" to finance their car at OpenRoad, so by that time, my dealership expectations were kinda low. Might just bite the bullet and pop over to another Mazda dealership this weekend to put down another deposit. Doesn't hurt, right?

Many moons ago my sister and my dad got talked into buying a Protege5 that had these weird baseball stitched leather seats in it at Signature Mazda... massive upcharge for these silly seats and I looked over the financing numbers and there were all sorts of hidden charges, I used that consumer cooldown law or whatever it was called to take it back to them and make them refund the whole car. Was quite a fight, but eventually got my way lol

If its a lease, just read your lease contract so they don't jam any of their bogus fees or extended warranty into it

They're the #2 Mazda dealer in Canada for Sales Volume. The GM is gunning for #1 in Canada.

I actually bought my first car brand new from there in 2012 but have never stepped foot there since. My partner bought her CX-30 from Destination but only because I personally know a few people there. The Sales team at Destination are fantastic. The Service team wasn't when they had a particular Service Manager in power... I believe there are different people in charge there now.

I agree with Traum though.. regardless of who you buy from, you're hopefully getting the exact car you want at the price you wanted. Of course good customer service is expected. Aside from that, after-sales service can be done anywhere. Years ago, I heard Wolfe was the best for after-sales but I don't know what the word on the street is today.
