^ theres a local black model 3 driving around with "driving with auto pilot" stickered all over the back of the car :lawl: |
^^ my buddy owns a model 3 as well. He told me the auto pilot is good, and its super easy to trust it which is not a good thing hence all the accidents. Only time you can trust a car on self driving mode is when there are no controls and you are a passenger. Until then it just advanced cruise control. |
As an aside to this, I was on the Toyota website and clicked on their future vehicles section... I did not know the Toyota Crown nameplate was making a comeback https://www.toyota.ca/toyota/en/regi...-crown-updates 2.4L Turbo in tandem with a rear electric motor... weird looking sedan / crossover concept... same width as a Camry, 4" taller and as long as a Highlander. Not very attractive in my opinion... |
yes they ruining the crown nameplate. its like a bigger venza now. |

What I've noticed more is some of the stuff that the car is equipped with aren't installed due to to parts shortages and we have to bring the customer back at a later date to install them. |

That new "Crown" looks absolutely vile imo. How did we get from something like this: https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/M8...cessories1.jpg To this abomination of a rear-end. I guess blame the popularity of the X4's and X6's of this world for this "trend"? :okay: https://www.thedrive.com/uploads/202...=70&width=1440 |
Oh my.. :inoutugh: |
North America gets the worst of the 4 Crown variants. The SUV, sedan, and wagon are fine-looking vehicles. We’re just presumed to have poor taste :okay: Abomination on the left: https://japanesenostalgiccar.com/wor...-lineup-02.jpg More: https://japanesenostalgiccar.com/toy...-new-segments/ |
I can imagine the SUV variants coming. The crossover we are getting was just a waste of development $ though. |
I really don't get crossovers. Yes I would like the smaller cargo capacity of a sedan but with the worse handling and fuel economy of an SUV. |
Wow... look at this little dude Toyota GR sells overseas: https://toyota.jp/copen/gallery/?pad...terior#des-int https://toyota.jp/pages/contents/cop...des-ext_07.jpg |
BrokeBackBrokeBack gawd damn JDM stuff.... i hate you toyota |
That's killer. Like a Honda Beat or a Suzuki Cappuccino. Agreed on the crossovers. X4, X6, GLE Coupe; jesus fuck they are so brutal looking. As a sedan owner I am inconvenienced not having a hatch but I'd rather endure the costs of having two vehicles so I can enjoy the sedan rather than a "do-it-all" crossover that looks like that Crown. Sedans for life! |

^ I think he’s stepping away from the auto business and doing something else. I don’t see or hear from him as much anymore. |
Can we buy from Mexico? I was just reading articles that there were Suzuki Jimnys fs at dealers in the US |
You can buy from Mexico, but if the equivalent model isn't for sale in Canada you can't register it here. I've heard of some loopholes like disassembling the car completely and then re-assembling it here and insuring through ICBC as a u-bilt/kit car with a custom VIN but that seems pretty beyond most people's scope. |

Semi related question. Have they addressed the 15 year import rule as part of the new car gas engine ban that's being implemented in.. 2030?2035? As in do we know once that ban is in effect, would we still be able to import old gas engine cars or not... |
I think they said new car sales... so importing from outside the country is going to not be a new car anymore? |
Does anyone know if the car comes faster at a bigger dealership? Looking to get a Corolla sedan or HB. Since no one will give discounts, I wonder which dealer will get the car fastest. |
Just call around and ask what the wait times are... and be prepared for a lot of lies. Your position in line is only as good as the profit margin you represent. Trade-in potential or financing/leasing bumps you to the front. |
Went in last weekend to inquire about a Sienna. Sales guy told us 3 year wait. |
